Hear Hear. I have complained about the city level up issue a number of times. I find incredibly annoying I can't look at my other cities when a city level up happens. On larger games especially I want to specialize my city and to do it properly I want to weigh what my other cities have. When I am choosing a building that might have an empire wide effect I want to LOOK AT MY EMPIRE and see what I might need. Not sure why it hasn't been changed, after a while I just got tired of co

A few more things about summoning in MoM that have not been mentioned: 1. Summons were thematic. Each type of magic had MULTIPLE summons that fit the theme of the books they came from. Death magic summons were undead and demons, Nature were big monsters that were uh.. natural (think warbears and the like), Chaos magic were things like Chimeras, Life magic was angels, you get the idea. 2. Every tree had multiple summons. Death magic by far had the most but every tree had a vari

I don't see the beta download available in my account. I got the email saying I could try the beta and logged directly into my stardock account, no beta. I tried installing the stardock manager, still no beta. Not sure why I can't seem to see it.

This is not a new request by far, but this has yet to make it into a build. Let me see city details and compare to other cities when making city specialization choices. This has been asked for on each build I can remember. Especially on larger games I don't have every city name memorized and don't necessarily remember what I was moving towards for a specialization. I know this has been asked for over and over again, would be nice to see it happen. That's

I like the game so I'll try not to be too negative about this. When leveling up my city I don't want to look at just that city, especially when I am deciding what type of city to make it. When the level up screen comes it locks me in so I cannot compare that city to others, maybe I'll decide I have too many fortresses, this one is best suited to a town, whatever. This is not by ANY means a new request. This has been something I have asked since the FIRST beta was released. </

[quote who="Limboldt" reply="182" id="3213553"] Quoting redskull2, reply 176Some short notes on it from my impressions: -tame beast doesn't seem to work anymore. I got resist on every attempt on every beast from a regular lvl 1 wolf to an umberdroth. All in all the gameplay is definitely headed the right way, mostly needs polish. In my last games it worked very very well on any level of difficulty , I eve

Some short notes on it from my impressions: -pioneer spam. not sure how you make it less rewarding. sad fact grabbing resources early seems to be the way to go. -tame beast doesn't seem to work anymore. I got resist on every attempt on every beast from a regular lvl 1 wolf to an umberdroth. -memory leaks. took about an hour but the game slowed to a crawl and went from using 1 gig to 1.5 and I could sit in my resource monitor and slowly watch the RAM usage creep up.

so is this patch coming out anytime soon? I've owned the game since June and been able to play it a grand total of 9 hours because of this bug.

yeah I just got into game, was enjoying my first playthrough exploring the factions.....minidump. and again, and again and again. Its sitting there in my steam library calling me to play it.,....then I remember the frustration of having the damn game crash on me every 30-60 minutes. Not worth it. Hopefully they fix this soon, I hate feeling ripped off. I guess I should take solace in the fact that there is a lot of new games coming out soon.

constantly happening to me also. I am regretting buying this game, makes it unplayable to have it crash like this every hour or so.

I'm a huge fan of steam. I find it easy to use, the sales are great (and agony to my wallet) and its social features are pretty much the only way I play with friends online. The people I play with exclusively now are people I met playing games on Steam and I give any game that comes out that isn't on Steam a period of time before I buy in hope that steam will add it to its catalog. I know I come off as a huge fanboy, but I have yet to find any reason not to use it. &nbsp

The dragon with the gate is related to winning by the questing method in the game. In order to get in there you have to finish 2 other level 9 queslines.

actually if you make a custom sovereign you can still play Umber. The faction still exists, I had a really fun game where I made my own toon and overran the world with ophidians. The way the new lair mechanic works you can have a ton of them with just a few lairs. It was very amusing to watch Torax squish one per turn while I was lobbing spells at him.

If you are casting it a tactical battle with a mage type character it IS significantly cheaper. Items etc reduce the cost of tactical spells, while nothing does for strategic ones. There are a number of reasons why the costs for tacticals should NOT be reduced. 1. as mqpiffle said the cost of convenience. You didn't want the mana upkeep, and didn't think the spell would be necessary but oh shit you need it RIGHT NOW. 2. casting and dispelling it after c

before the injury trait there was 2 options: 1. heroes DIED when they died in battle or 2. they didn't die as long as you had won the battle. 1. Nobody liked death. Whats the point of investing large amounts of time in a hero only to have him die in some random battle? Doesn't work. 2. This was almost as bad. With no repercussion for sloppy play heroes became unstoppable powerhouses way too fast. There was no need for regular units at all, just a stack of un

So I made a custom sovereign with the Umber faction. I know they are not getting any love and have basically been dropped off the list for faction changes, but I liked them and seeing they were still there made a game with them. After a bit of playing I managed to capture a location that puts out snakes, the large magic resistant ones (the name escapes me for now). This is when I got a taste of the changes to monster lairs and allied monster units. Within n

I am having similar issues. It seems like the problems begin during tactical battles then spread into the main game. I don't see high resource usage and its not taxing my video card, but I am seeing the RAM usage spike. Intel quad core 8 gigs ram GTX 460 video card win 7 Usually it starts by everything in a tactical battles suddenly going into slow motion. Its not a factor of the number of units either, I've had it happen with 8+ units per side

Fair enough on the starting position, yes I played and loved xcom, nothing like having a sectoid throw a grenade into your deployment area. The UI issues though...the game is going for a specialize your city, plan ahead feel. For that, you really need the tools that ease that by giving you information when it is needed. When I have a city level up and: 1. I can't compare it to my other cities 2. I can't see my current resource gain/loss overall 3. I can't s

its not its ability as a weapon. its running into a bear at the beginning of the game and watching them maul to death 2 units a hero and a sovereign. I'm sure at higher level its not much of a concern, but when its at the beginning of the game its a bit out of wack with the monster level.
