I generally aim to get plague simply to counter HoL and from what I've seen on the forums that seems to be the primary use that others have for it too. Only problem I find is that I can never really judge when to get the skill because when Plague becomes available there are still lots of skills I need to be investing in IE; ooze/inner beast/diseased claws. No point being able to counter the HoL if I gimp myself in other departments.

In my experience an RTS/RTT game needs a solid competitive community and/or good mod community to increase and sustain a lage player base. Demigod doesn't seem to have either of these things at this point.
What made the game great was that in the end, everyone simply wasn't giving a damn wheather they would win or not, we were just having sheer fun!
Translation: Everyone started playing sloppy and making lots of mistakes, allowing the game to go backwards and forwards. I would bet my left testicle that for every game where someone makes a come-back, you could find 100 games where a decisive advantage carriers through to the end of the game.&nbsp

Ignoring individual character balance for a moment, I think we need to look at the fact that it is possible for many of the General characters to go toe to toe with Assassin characters. The fact that most, of if not all 4 Generals end up being played like assassins indicates to me that; 1. The game mechanics are not working as intended because Generals playing as generals is not competitively viable and 2. Game balance is not ideal with Generals being able to beat Assassins at their own
What about fixing the issues that makes a ragequitter rage?
This. Demigod has one of the steepest slippery slope effects I've seen in games for quite a while and the fact that you are punished while your opponent is simultaneously rewarded for player deaths most certainly does not help matters. A lot of games are effectively ended in 5-10 minutes however you are still forced to sit around for at least

I have also experienced the UB being absolutely useless although it wasn't an ooze UB, it was a spit UB. Pantheon game, double Oak vs double beast, each team had 1 AI. The AI beast was absolutely-fucking-terrible. It spent all its gold on the most useless possible citadel upgrades EG; building damage, respawn timer, priests. I don't think it bought ANY items because at level 8 it barely had more than 2k HP, by contrast even the AI oak had 3k+.&nb
Try to kill a demigod in one second (the cast time of a capture lock). The stun comment is very valid.
My point was simply that he can't lock it if he's dead and waiting for his respawn timer.

Stun abilities can interupt flag locking. It is also very difficult to lock a flag when you're dead.

If you were pinned in your base by endless creep waves then I don't think the game was as close as you think it was, especially if they have 3 waves to your 1. I'm also confused as to how you could go the the whole game, all the way to warscore 10 and giants with zero effective AoE abilties on your team.

Considering the state of the game at the moment it's impossible to tell. I got involved in the last pantheon a few days from the end and my handful of games were terrible; Out of about 6 games I didn't get a single match that wasn't borked, they were either 2vs1 or mass-disconnects occured and I was left in the game with only bots.

So no, it doesn't look like it is pos

From my observation as a player new to the online scene, it seems to me that the HoL is just too good to pass up. Is there honestly any reason why a player would not buy the HoL if he couldn't afford it? The only example I could think of would be an arranged team passing around a HoL between players but I imagine that kind of thing is rare in a PUG due to trust/self preservation issues.

Meh. I just had a game in which my mate mate was all "LULZ HEY GUIS HOW DOES I PLAYED DEMIGOD?" and proceeded to kamikazi into the enemy base, feed my opponents gold and exp and just generally be of little help. I myself am also quite new so when I realised we were up against at least 1 experienced player I got the feeling that we were screwed. My gut instinct was indeed correct but I stayed in the game against my better judgedment. I will never

It is certainly possible to come back in this game but from what I have observed, combacks generally hinge on the opponents team playing badly/making poor choices/being poorly coordinated and not your team playing well. I'm sure it's been discussed ad infinitum but the game mechanics for killing other players pushes you down a very slippery slope. Everything in this game effectively revolves around gold and the winning team will have more to play around with. Assuming they d

To be honest after a handful of games online I can fully understand why people rage-quit. I'm still a noob myself but even I find myself losing patients with my team mates very quickly. For example; Just had a game of fortress where our opponents were 2 forts down and ours were untouched. Only problem was my rook ally wasn't leveling or doing much of anything besides making tower farms and feeding the other team gold and exp. We had plenty of chances to 2 vs 1 a
