When using biomass to add 2 tiles I often find at least one is not visible anywhere.

I can't get my head around needing citizens for starbases. I get that they provide bonuses, but starbases used to be automated - now suddenly they have to be manned? With also requiring citizens for trade, colonization, running the colonies and so on - there are simply not enough citizens to fuel the start of the game. It is reduced to a crawl and makes it less fun. If citizens are going to be used for everything now, they need to be easier to come by and less easily annoyed!
The nameplates get in the way and cover up other planets - there definitely needs to be a toggle
In the previous version, if you had focus on a colony ship then clicked on a planet, the colony ship stayed in focus and the map moved to the planet so it was easy to send the ship there, Now, the focus changes to the planet so you have to remember where the planet is, find the ship, scroll manually back to the planet then send it there - the old version seemed better in this regard?
New issue - when I click "show me" on the dialog about executive orders, nothing happens. It just closes.
ok - so instead of sponsoring the shipyard itself, colonies improve core worlds - which will in turn improve the shipyard accordingly? I swear in the last version I had Earth & Mars sponsoring the same shipyard. I note also that shipyards say "planetary sponsors" - plural - with room for a list - so is this just a defect? (Certainly there is an issue one way round or the other!) I don't think two shipyards in the same system would be efficient - so we need to under
I am confused as to why a governor would stop Mars contributing to the Earth shipyard? Why isn't there at least a way to tell it to contribute directly? That aside, the shipyard present icon is shown on Mars, and clicking it does nothing - so something is awry I think?
As always, apologies if any of this was posted before - please don't flame me! I am -loving- the new version, and love seeing the evolution of the game. I love the new visuals, the improved text (and that it fits!) and am warming up to the new ideology system. I think the system still needs work though - it seems odd for there to be a tree, but you can pick from lower tiers if you have the points. Also, selection seems very sticky at the moment. (Same issue with some buttons.)
Hi Gypsy, I opened by saying apologies if this has been raised before. Please do leave it to the devs to take on the feedback as they wish :) JD
Hi gypsy, Many thanks for your response. I should have added I was on normal difficulty. Also, it is my choice what difficulty I play on. I know this is alpha - this is raw feedback to take or leave :) As I said, I like the random tech idea but as with all new ideas it needs some improvement such as seeding, or free resets every so often / as rewards. This is a -very- long thread, so "see my #2" is not helpful - please elaborate. I'm not sure ho
I've played a few games on this version and am loving the updates. Apologies if any of these notes are listed elsewhere. 1/ My rig (gaming laptop) runs on full fan, even when I am doing nothing in the game or in a different window. This starts a few hundred turns into the game, then it just gets slower and slower. This was observed on the default galaxy size. Full rig details available on request. 2/ Text in almost all contexts is overlapping the
