What do you mean not with stardock and you have to search somewhere else?

I saw that post and did all those instructions and it did not help. Still crashes after several turns.
I understand. It would be nice to be able to play with family over LAN without buying more copies. I already did buy more copies, however. For me I just don't want it to CRASH after several turns in MP. I have purchased 4 copies for myself and my kids. I really want the game to succeed. Every time I play with my neighbor (who also bought 2 copies), it gets stuck after several turns. Make ya not want to play it if you only get to play for a few turns and the
Multiplayer still doesn't work right. I am guessing it just isn't a priority for Stardock. For me it is the only way to play. I do not gain very much enjoyment out of single player. My whole reason for playing is to play with friends.

I will give it a try and try to report back.
Thank you for the reply. If I am ok with the 1 person at a time and I trust the people I am playing with then it sounds fine. Can you tell me how to set up a game like this and what I would need to do to make it work? If we happen to all be around and online could we also play some sessions together by simply connecting or is it once PBEM always so with that save game?
The Gal Civ III FAQ indicates that if I want to PBEM all I have to do is start a multiplayer game, save the file and then share the file with the other players. I would like to know if anyone has had success with this and if so could they post a walk through to make it work. Right off the bat it looks like you have to actually get everyone online to start the game. If I save that game and then share it can each player load the game without the other players being online? Maybe
The whole game seems to be very dark. I tried increasing the brightness and contrast settings to 100 and it didn't seem to make any difference. Can someone suggest a way to make it brighter?
Problem solved, I had to go back to IE 7 by going to Start-Control Panel-Add or Remove Programs-Scroll down to IE 8 and remove it. Then I restarted my computer. Next I cleaned Microsoft .net and reinstalled the Microsoft .net 2.0. I re-downloaded Impulse, and now it works 100%. I got this information from: https://forums.joeuser.com/323495 and https://forums.
Hello, I have been having trouble installing Impluse, I uninstalled Sins of a Solar Empire, and Impulse to see if that fixes it, re-downloaded Impulse, but right when I start the set-up, it shows me this: It shows me that report every time I try to install it, I clicked "Don't Send" and it finishes the set-up sayi
Thanks for the input. This is really great! Kudos to the game developers and the publisher. This was a great choice. I am going to go buy it today.
I had heard that you only need one copy of SofaSE if you want to play muiltiplayer on a local LAN. Is that true? That would be really cool. I am thinking about buying this game. One of the reasons I would buy it is to play with my son across our LAN. I will be much more likely to buy it if I only have to buy one copy.
