Sounds exactly like what I wanted from this game, an old concept, but well done, and with great graphics to back it up.
Heavenfall
I thoroughly enjoyed the beta, although it was a constant fear that by the time the beta was done, the game would already be "old" compared to other games released at the same time. I also enjoyed hellgate london, and whatever the reasons were, I am sad to see that their plans could not come to be realised. It's a free market out there, and sometimes even diamonds get crushed in between the gears.
Certainly not my cup either. In fact, unfortunately, I'd rate it the worst game I've played in years. Camera control and graphics were beyond substandard. The game telling me I was a noob for not getting it didn't help. The UI was a joke. If this game had been released 4-5 years ago, it might have caught my favour. Edit: Make that 6-7
I re-read the external link and it was definately not "meaty chunks of extra new content" that was intended. Yes, bug support should be available after release.
Then 3 is just silly. You get what you pay for, and it should be good (at least according to nr 2). Anyway, I just plain don't agree with most of these. However, I do think that each of these questions MAY be important to the individual customer and should be answered on the package/website - therefore, would it not be a good idea to say create a separate listindex website that did exactly this? Then you could log on and see for yourself. But demanding it for all games is asking too m

Personally I think mostly other developers look at credits. They're a kind of "I was there and I did it" to put on your CV. If that is true, I'd say it is important to have everyone who felt they were a part of the development in the credits, who were on the payroll within the company. Outsourced material has to be negotiated. But mostly I think credits that show some kind of role in the development are important. Some games just flash you a list of 50 names. What we want to know is who did what
It's not gameplay footage, because it doesn't show UI and it doesn't show what the game will look like for the player. It doesn't even last more than 3-4 seconds. Added camera angles and zooms for effect makes it, probably, nothing like the game will look. It does show us some of the models and animations used though. At least to me, gameplay = what it looks like playing the game.
I reckon a couple of hundred? We haven't seen a gameplay video yet, there are still many many details unknown. At this early stage, I should think the "true believers", aka the ones who loved previous games from this studio have purchased the preorder based on nothing but "I like what I've seen so far".
Noone is forcing anyone to pay. You don't have to like it. Don't like it? Don't pay. It's as simple as. But please, have some respect for what other people like and don't like, and recognize that their priorities may be very different from yours.
