GalCiv3 has a feature, where the human player can work on a team. I have not been able to find this feature in GalCiv4. I request that it be added.

Suggestions: In the screens where there is a "Sentry" button where a ship or fleet stays in one spot for the time being, add a "Patrol" button where the ship or fleet goes back and forth between two points. I think it would also be good to optionally use waypoints with like would define more than two points for the ship or fleet to follow.
I think a good enhancement would be to have long range weapons like certain missiles or beams that could work for up to say 3 hexes around a military starbase or along the spine of a heavy or huge warship. All missiles need is a lock-on a target and enough fuel or hyperdrive engines to take them to their target. A beam weapon will have diminishing returns the farther out it goes. I think that an enemy starship that goes too near a military starbase should get stung and maybe destroyed. The te
I would like to see an Ironman option added before final release, where you cannot save games and you can only resume where you left off. This is setup especially for point system type challenges that can used to compare with other scores. It prevents cheating, and it is good for broadcasters to show their prowess at playing the game.
I think there should be a process to choose and connect each colony to whichever core world we want.

I think freighter routes should be set as waypoints to attempt to avoid hostile areas on the map instead of taking the most direct route, which often gets the freighter destroyed.
I would like to recommend that the colony ship tooltip should include what race is on the colony ship.
