^ Agreed, but it's already been brought up and shot down by Stardock.
Which idea? The Gas giant harvesting, or the "Paragon/Renegade" system? There were two posts with ideas above your "Agreed" post, with no quote I could not be sure. Just curious which has been shot down.
Quoting cyberphage, reply 127 Another aspect that was in both Star Control 1 and Star Control 3 to some degree was the ability to have a base on a planet. This may make it more appealing to have to return to a planet to harvest minerals from a Mine you installed on a plan

I think it would be interesting if there were modules that you could only get if you played the campaign a specific way... kind of like a Paragon/Renegade system. If you could play "evil" humans or what have you. Being a recent founder I am not sure if such a system was looked at when creating the campaign, I am still going through the other posts.

Planets, what to see and experience. 6 seems too low. I agree with the others that have suggested that with creative re-skinning/coloring you could get more out of them (Emerald, Ruby, etc for crystal worlds). I do think an "M" class planet is needed.. One of the most disappointing aspects of SC2 for me was the lack of "Anomalies" found in general. The only ones you could find were specific quest related items. I would have loved

So how is the impact to the budget for the creation of modding tools going to impact the final product? I am all for increasing the accessibility of Modding tools (as I myself am not the best coder in the world), but I would hate for the retail version of the game to be negatively impacted.

I plan on it, I just have a bit to catch up on... I am working my way through the archive and the vault when I get a chance to see what has been developed and what ideas have already been floated.

I just bought into the Founder's program so I doubt I have much of a chance at the 500, but I will look forward to the possibility of the next 500... (presuming they expand the test group in the future.)

Hello, Longtime fan of Starcontrol and decided to give myself a late Christmas present and join the the founder's program. I look forward to looking over the previous dev blogs and getting caught up on the development diary's. I was 12 when Starcontrol 2 came out and it changed the way I looked at narrative computer games, and I lived through the disappointment that was Starcontrol 3. I hope that these new Meta-verses will be as enjoyable as SC2 was.
