Maybe not with bright wizard. However if you compare skill depth of the 2 warhammers is much much deeper. I'd expect it to be, being an MMO, but the difference is ridiculous.

Innociv there's a lot more to the warhammer skills than what's shown there due to the mechanics of the game. Unless you understand the mechanics you won't fully understand the skill differences.

And if the enemy is ahead in the game and can pay to res faster, how do you plan on turning the game around? Try dying less, there's a solution.

If you're going quality > quantity the current skill trees need to be doubled/tripled to make up for the lack of pure quantity of demigods. That way each demigod can be played in more ways to make up for the lack of numbers. Honestly, I prefer each demigod be more diverse than having pure numbers but looking at the current skill lists they are extremely lacking. I'd like to at least see skill lists nearing diablo 2 if we're only getting 8 demigods. Before someone says items, no, they

I see nothing similar between an RTS and Demigod really. About as far as you're going to get is control scheme and controllable minions for demigods.

There has to be either a decent amount of demigods (I'd say 15ish) or the demigods we're getting have to be more in-depth and versatile in skill choices. I'd think new abilities are easier to add in than entire new demigods, so this shouldn't be hard.

Or should I say micro expansions, they're the same damn thing anyway. http://pc.ign.com/articles/906/906777p1.html Hope this isnt planned for Demigod too. :/

They're not going to include wasd if it's going to work like crap. It's not one piece of information.
Recode the whole game so WASD is possible for all i care, if it isn't. =]
You're not being realistic. The technical reasons that have been listed almost surely guarantee that there will NOT be wasd control in the game. Re-writing the engine so that we can use WASD control would be a huge waste of time and money in comparison to working on the rest of the game. It's likely that click to move will work quite well and wasd, while preferred by some, will not be included due t
Can someone explain the advantage is WASD? The only advantage I can see is when you're dancing, and I don't think I want DG to be THAT micro-intensive.You're not serious are you? You control 1 char as an assassin, and 1 char plus a few minions as a general. Do you need the game to play itself for you or something?Yes, I'm serious. No, I don't want the game to play itself, I dont' mind clicking around, I just think pressing "wsdasdwasdwasawassdsadadawas" around on the keyboard is overdoing

WASD would require more movement updates than click to move wouldn't it? That alone would make click to move a better choice and the engine decides pathing each time a new order is issued so that there's no/less collision. Also considering the game is p2p and not server based (meaning higher pings typically) I'd say we're better off with click to move. Nevermind that they'd probably have to add wasd in from nothing since it wasn't used or even considered for supcom which the engine was built for
I thought "Newb" was the insulting one? Mostly because i never see it used. and "Noob" was the beginner player one. And if all Tinkers are Zonkers are all Zonkers, whatsits?ultimately it doesn't matter, Noob/newb/douchemonkey are used as descriptors by some and as insults by others and ultimately it depends on the context of the rest of the sentence.Ultimately, you're a douchetastic nublet.
And you're a double douchetastic nublet with a touch of gay.
Skills working together are good(IE one person demigod has a vortex that sucks units towards it, another one has a powerful small radius AoE that they use after everything is sucked in close). Two demigods performing combos like you described is not.
Yeah basically this. We don't need chrono trigger style combos in a multiplayer game. =P
I think the idea is that it's impossible to master every demigod, so going random should offer some negligible advantage to match the advantage of being familiar with a certain playstyle.
So you should get a dice roll chance that you get a demigod you're good with and have this hidden from your opponents? No, you shouldnt. Just because you may be good with some and bad with others doesn't balance out the fact that if you get a good one you just started with a sizeable lea

I'm eliminating something because it's given an advantage that it shouldn't be given instead of being put on an even level with choosing a specific character? Aren't you pushing for more people to go random because they'd basically have an advantage of the opponent not knowing who they are until encounter? It should either be everyone is not known until seen, or everybody is known. No in-betweens.

46 Replies 110,829 Views

Getting a random demigod isn't a disadvantage - it was your choice to random so deal with it. An inherent advantage should not be given to you for choosing random.
