Was SUPER happy to be able to skin Outlook! One tiny glitch. The minimize icon doesn't work when you click in the middle (on the white down arrow) but will work if you click over to the side. Outlook 2010. I will probably get to office 365 anyway but thought you should know.
After several hours of trying to figure out what I've done wrong, I come to you. I implemented Start 10 - all was well Then I changed something in Windows Blinds and now Start 10 won't start unless I run as admin and then it says "Let Window Blinds rule the roost" and I can't change anything and it appears not to be running. I had a problem where Desktop Windows Manager (dwm.exe) would not run. I uninstalled KB2670838 and it works like a charm now.
It's working now. Not sure why because I rebooted twice before, but thanks for being there anyway.
I tried doing what you suggested on the dock. No workie boys. Also tried a .bat and actually issuing it from the command line. None of them work for me? Have you known it work for others? Thanks for all your help.
That's good to know. I start it from an Object Dock shortcut so I could add the arguments there? Or create a .bat file? I appreciate the help; thanks!
The labels associated with each shortcut do not display on top with the rest of the dock if there is a window in the way (e.g., full screen app). In the image below, my cursor was over the Outlook icon. My background is a deskscape (above) and the window is below showing that the test is layered below the window but the doc is on top. Thanks for any insight.
Win7 - Tiles for Chrome I only get one icon for Chrome and new tabs do not show up on the tiles bar. If I use IE, it works fine.

I'm trying to customize this to work for me. I'm in DX builer (which I have not used before) and it is not intuitively obvious where to change things. I see a theme.ini file that has the incorrect path names (CMD1 D:\Users\Jim Dillard\Documents\Text\Portable USB Apps.txt). Is that what I should edit to change things or is there an easier interface? Could someone explain to me why there are two forums covering most of the same subjects? If I go from Impulse and hit "Forums" on the bottom bar I go one place, but if I go to wincustomize.com I go to a completely different forum that deals with many of the same subjects??

Using Vista32; With any screensaver, when you "wake it up" the sceen appears with the docs only. No wallpaper and no windows. You can click on the icons for the taskbar dock but that will not bring up the windows. If I CTRL-ALT-DEL, everything comes back immediately - even before the Task Manager et.al. screen comes up. I cancel out of that screen when it does come up and everything works fine. As a side question, I posed this same question in the forum O
Hi - two questions 1) When the screensaver kicks in and Imove the mouse to release it, I see all the OD Docks but my wallpaper and any windows are gone; just a black screen. I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL. When I do that, the windows and desktop come back BEFORE the taskmanager/logoff page even appears. So I just cancel out of that and all is well. Running Vista32. I know a lot of people don't use or like Microsoft Expressions, but it was available to us as a non-profit organization. I don't have the entire package - just Design and Web that I used to build our website, but I think others would very much appreciate the individual icons as do I. Again - thank you very much. OK, I'll play the part of an idiot. I Google (advanced search) images for Microsoft Expressions and get pictures of software boxes. You obviously have much more expertise - do you mind sharing the specifics? I thought that someone in this great development community might have in included them in a package that was not intuitively obvious by the description. Sorry to have asked such a naive question - excuse me.

OK, thanks for that info. Now I can "roll up" with a double click of the title bar. But what happened to the fourth dot option in the upper right hand corner? I didn't see that as an option in the list? Is that no longer an option? I would rather do that than double click, but at least I can do it now.[e digicons]:smitten:[/e]
I customized by desktop in XP about 6 months ago and had some windows blinds skins that would dock a window on the desktop as a title bar. Each window had a 4th button along with mimimize, maximize and close. Now I've upgraded to Vista (which would explain the 6 month gap) and I don't see that option on any WB skins. I know I'm going to feel really stupid when someone answers this, but I have to ask. I customized my desktop about a year ago (Pre-Impulse) and through wincustomize (SD Central) and you could search under each area. So if I was doing a theme, I could search for part of the name in Walpaper, Icons, etc. What happened to that?
If I use any Deskscape AND I have a Microsoft window open (Outlook, Word...), the icons on the desktop "jiggle". If I minimize those windows, the problem goes away. I can have Impulse open and it does not cause the issue. Anyone else experience this? My Video and Display drivers are up to date; Vista SP1 - Thanks
Any OU fans out there? I think there's enough to support a theme for them. Come on....... splurge on this one.....
You were so right. Dell support center said they were up to date; but ATI had newer ones. Thank you - all is working fine now.
