Thought I solved the problem with background services in Win 11 -- played 2 1/2 hours with no problems. Played this morning and bang..another crash back to the Epic Startup Screen. No warning. So I await Stardock's genius to figure this out. I would like to see a crash log that can be read as a text file and not in gibberish so all the people can see it and look for commonalities.

Was having similar problems and maybe, just maybe I solved the issue for me at least. I went over an hour with no crashes which was unusual. Before any crash, my mouse suddenly slowed down so I exited. (This is Win 11) Then looking at services, I deleted (disabled) 2 Adobe services, one was an auto update check and another to check for genuine product. Not sure if services looking at 'there is an update available' interfered. Anyway, I hope this pans out.
So, played again and again and it still crashes, quite un-ceremonially - just poof - return to desktop. This time I got 35 minutes. Playing all normal settings with universe set at large and 4 antagonists. This is Windows 11, Ryzen 2700x, not overclocked, 16gb mem, RX 570 video card. Nothing abnormal that I can see in startup or services. Shouldn't there be a log to record these? I know I'm not the only one experiencing this. If a Log exists, tell me where to find it so I can send it in. Than
Just keeps crashing after a 1/2 to 1 hour of play. Plain and simply stops working and goes to Windows desktop. Ryzen 2700x, 8 GB Mem, RX 570 video card, MSI x470 Gaming Plus on Windows 11. This is Ver .77A but exactly the same as ver .77 Methinks the bug is not found.
Game is not freeing all memory after exit. Cannot load certain other games without Windows 10 freezing. Not sure if it is the Epic game loader or GC4
If I hadn't played all the other Galactic Civ games I would not know what to do. I think the first 10 minutes (if you opt in) should have a much better walkthrough like arrows pointing at specific buttons with a reason for them. The instructions should go on from day 0 to day 3.
If I play GC4 first, an attempt to load other software results in a complete freeze. For certain, If I try to load Guild Wars 2, the PC locks up and the only way to reset it is by pressing the on/.off button on the PC. Nothing else works. Therefore I assume all memory is not being freed and reallocated on exit.
