Ya I have seen screens like that when somebody declares war on me before. I understand what those mean. I never had any kind of dialog screen pop up from the Torians. Zero indications they had declared war on me.

So I was getting ready to make myself a new core world, and started browsing through my leader pool looking for a suitable governor. As I was browsing, I noticed the diplomat I had assigned to the Torians sitting there in my leader pool. I wondered how the heck he got there, and went to the diplomats screen to put him back with the Torians. There I discovered that apparently the Torians had declared war on me. I was totally unaware that they had declared war on me. I went back a reloaded a sa
Under the Creativity ideology, the "Resourceful" option does not give the .1 increase to mining it says it does.
I'm finding a lot of hexes on the map that are inaccessible. Mostly hexes that look empty but will not allow a ship to enter them; but I have also found at least one planet that it would not let me colonize. I heard from another on Discord that they are experiencing the same thing, also effecting anomalies etc. Happy Bug Squashing!
This is a layman's fix I just discovered, in case anybody else is interested. When you send your ship/fleet into a stellar stream it can take a long time for it to finish it's zig zaggy trek along the stream path. If this annoys you (like it does me), I found a kinda fix for it. Position the entrance to the stream on the very edge of your map, so that the travel path is off screen. Then move your ships into the stream entrance, and poof; the ships are instantly at the full extent of t
It is taking Base Pollution (11) + Manufacturing District (16) + Industrial Center (10) to get total pollution of 37%. Then Climate Purifier drops it down to 17%. Then Protect the Planet actually takes 50% of that remaining pollution value to give you 8.5% Yeah they are very confusing with how they do their formulas and calculations, and how they present it to the player. Hope that helps. Happy Sunday !
Just curious what your game settings are at for game speed, difficulty, etc? I'm currently at 77% Prestige on turn 270. It sounds like you must be pretty far into your game, so if you think it will take about another 200 turns to win a prestige victory, I want to make sure I never play with the same settings you are using [e digicons][/e] Happy weekend !
My current game (.77b) I have the large map size (8-12 sectors), medium sized sectors, with 8 civs total (that's including my civ). Difficulty set to normal, game speed normal, minor civs rare, pirates/monsters rare. My starting sector had 2 streams out of it. The stream to the north lead to a sector that the Navigators were in, and was also where I met the Onyx Hive. It wasn't the Onyx Hive's starting sector, but they were already basically trying to push the Navigators out of their
Oh nice, I see you snuck the battle viewer in there. Or maybe it has been there for a while and I just missed it because I usually skim past the multiplayer stuff quickly. This should make a lot of people happy. Looks like you have also cleaned up a lot of the empty/useless techs. Hopefully there aren't any more "blank spots" in the tech trees where you have to research something that does nothing. I'm really looking forward to .8 !
There is a rather serious grammatical error in the description the Arcean Empire (which shows up when you've selected to play Arceans or have just loaded a new map with the Arceans as your civilization). The description says the Arceans are "freed from the yolk of the Drengin Empire." It should say they are freed from the yoke of the Drengin Empire.
Drengin are known for often eating their slaves though. So many Arceans may
Hey I have upgraded a lot of starbases, and I noticed something that seems kinda silly. Military starbases do NOT get some military upgrades that economic starbases DO get. The specific ones I have noticed are "Starbase Defense System" (gives +1 beam/missile/kinetic attack and +5 influence), "Advanced Defenses" (gives +2 beam/missile/kinetic attack and +5 influence), and "Omega Starbase Defenses" (gives +5 beam/missile/kinetic attack and +5 influence). Yes I do realize that military s
Oh yeah the Baratak spore ability being used on a planet waaaaaaaay far away from them happened in my current game also. I found 2 planets in my starting sector that the spore ability had obviously been used on. I happily colonized them. I eventually found the Baratak much later in my game, 4 sectors away. There is absolutely no way the Baratak could have used their spore ability on those planets, without it being some sort of bug. I'm pretty sure they have never even made it outside of their
I can't actually remember the last time I played a "base" civ in any of the Gal Civ series. I pretty much always modify the starting traits, so I am never truly playing as Terrans or Torians or Arceans, etc etc. I really hope we get the fully customizable civs soon, so I'm not stuck with the current versions of making Frankenstein civs. That being said, I use the Terran Resistance as the base because I prefer their Commander ships. I am currently favoring the Durantium starting world,
Agreed. They seem to take forever even when I try using regular "hurry up" techniques like keeping the cam view away from them. Just let it do the calculations to determine how many turns it will take them to emerge on the other side, and skip all the graphics animations stuff. Happy Twos Day !
So I started the Orb of Draginol event/quest/whateveritscalled. Understood the survey anomaly part, did that and found what was needed. Understood the use artifact to open a rift part, did that and spawned the Dreadlord shipyard and lots of little beasties, killed all of those. When I opened the rift there was a pop up screen that said something about finding the Orb among lesser races, or something like that. Now I have no clue what I am supposed to do. When I click on the Orb of Draginol th
Ya I had heard somebody mention Mimots were way over-powered a while back on the boards. I thought maybe it was because of their fast breeding, but then I took a look at them when I was starting a new game. I noticed the double ships thing and I immediately thought "well that is absurd and will surely get nerfed", so I didn't even bother trying to play as them. Instead I tried finding other less absurd but still cheesy ways to get an edge. Then I noticed that on just "normal" difficulty, even
Well, that seems a bit ridiculous you have to fly around the galaxy to get to an adjacent sector. I think they need to rethink that.
But you don't understand. Within that space between the first and last sector, dwells Ickthorynklenmog; the Beast-God, the Infinite Devourer, the Ender of Hope, the Creator of Nothingness. Subspace streams cannot exist within his domain. Nothing can exist within his domain, other than Ick
The "fire governor" mechanic is turning out to be a major misstep as currently devised. The 10% empire-wide penalty has to go. IDEA: when firing the governor, there is a 5-10 turn cooldown before the governor can be reassigned. No other penalties other than to the leader's own loyalty.
Your idea seems like a much better implementation, imo. Happy Sunday !
Ah ok, thanks for clearing that up !
With the buy a governor mechanic, I like the mechanic of stats influence to deepen planet production but might suggest paying for a governor on every single planet you found is overly burdensome. Why not a governor per sector? Or star system? The way it is now, it feels like two colony ships at the start are absolutely useless if I have to burn 600 of my starting 1000 credits just to buy up a couple of people to make the plan
Oh well that sounds buggy. Happy Bug Squashing !
Ya I think that comes from the individual citizens ideology being in opposition to your Civs selected primary ideology. If you hover your mouse over each individual citizen, you will see some of them have an ideology listed. If that citizens ideology is "diametrically opposed" to your civilizations ideology, then that citizen will get the happiness penalty. Happy Saturday !!!
Ya what gypsy said, if you have cam away from areas with lots of moving stuff, it goes quick.
