I have the Logitech Wireless Laser Desktop and I find that the keyboard and mouse both work really well for me but if you want to go with the same as mine I suggest you get a set of rechargable AA & AAA(2 of each)batteries as the batteries on the mouse go dead about every three weeks.Strangely the keyboard batteries are still working fine and it was about 6 months ago that I bought the set.anyways you won't have to worry right away as Logitech supplies batteries with the desktop when you buy it.
Always on , I'm a t.v. series downloading addict and when you shut down in the middle of a download sometimes it will not start up again.(Usually have about 30 going at once)Plus I have 4 fans to keep it cool and one on my videocard.
