I cant believe that after all this time there's still no space game to beat Birth of the Federation. In comparison with GalCiz:- - BOTF has better battle options - allowing 4 different real-time battle strategies in a kind of scissor/rock/paper style. - has better race interactions - including insults you can GIVE, not just take. - hs better ship tracking - you can see where all your ships are all the time, and the enemy's too, of they're in range of a sensor. ok - GalCiv ha

oh come on. 9 major races and 8 minors. in a Gigantic map. Do you have ANY IDEAS how much work is gonna be needed, and how many resources to run that later in the game, with all those ships, all those planets, all the interactions...? Just admit it, you're pushing the envelope just a tad here.
ok ok - so i click the Guard or Sentry buttons,
Best (these are games that, once I started playing them I couldn't stop) Halflife1 FABLE - a real odd but original game. Amazing graphics. Dont know which genre it falls under though Neverwinter1 BOTF Descent 3 Earth 2150 Dungeon keeper 2 Pod Racer Quake2 all RAILROAD TYCOONs (The 1st one for the Atari ST was awesome, included POINTS/LIGHTS control) SHOGUN total war All-time dogs Neverwinter2 - (should be called "baldersGate3")<b
What other space strategy types games are around out there at the moment? BOTF i was addicted to for years Imperium Galactica 2 was cool - but a little too short. ORB - tried the demo, but not sure this is a strategy game Homeworld2 - hated this - way way too scripted I've heard talk of a game called MO2 (or MOO2?). What is this? Is it good?
I've noticed that if I have a ship just sitting around, cos i have no current plans for it, when I move other ships the view always snaps back to my idle ship. I;ve tried the SKIP AUTOPILOT MOVES option, but this isn't it. Does anybody have a way around this? Cheers
I mean in either original GalCiv2, or Dark Avatar
Hi Guys Is there a mod in existance to remove ships in a fleet from the 'VIEW SHIPS' list? (and maybe add a FLEET item in the list instead). If not, is there an easy way to manage a lot of ships and fleets that i'm not aware of? Cheers
Apologies if these are already posted. I dont think they are though cos i spent a long time trying to find just this on these forums, and my rules are distilled from what i've read between the lines. My game success has improved dramatically by the following. 1) colonise everything! (I spent 1st 6 game attempts just colonising 10+ - NOT GOOD) 1a) Colonise everything as fast as you can at the start. Turn your home planet into a big factory so you can churn out LOTS of c
