Theme and display Weirdness! in Beginners WinCustomize Forums

Heya Guys, I've tried everything in the book, and cannot find the answer to this. My Vaio came with a standard install of Windows (which I have restored to a factory state). The default theme comes with jumbo-sized buttons and navi bars. I can manually go into the advanced settings and make everything smaller, but this leads to other display oddities -- almost as though some programs are following the theme guidelines, and some are not.
