Stardock games are cool. I'm certain I'll be playing whatever they throw down the line, because Stardock seems to put its time into each game, individually developing them procisely. Blizzard, once upon a time, did that, but not even close to how Stardock has hanled there baby, GalCil games, those games are addictive. I remember Galciv entertained my buddies and I while we sat in the (Persian) gulf for no apparent reason.

I like pirates. They pwn some powerful fleets, but they add some space. I guess thats why you gotta arm your space stations, and such. Also, I was in a game recently where the Jagged Knife event occured, and they ate the heart out of the Drengin, who were eons a head of everyone at the time. This bought me sometime to build infrustructure and continue colonizing in peace. Eventually I wiped out the Fundamentalists. I was gonna trade to the Drengin some of there lost planets, but they never

Well, I won't lie, it all but crushed my economy for a few weeks, the upgrade did. But I had something on the order of 20 battle ships, and 10 dreadnaught hulls to upgrade, not including fighters and interceptors. nevertheless, desipte my delapidated economy, short term, I am quite certain I could have gone the rest of the game without a single war, just by how my jump in military strength went.

I am slightly curious if the AI remembers how it was treated in previous games. The reason I wonder is because, I played 2 games, where I allied with the Thalans, and in most of my games I end up being friendly with them, although I wish they weren't as militaristic. They got me involved with a head on war with the Krox, not a second to early either, as my first battleships were just rolling off the line. We dominated the whole map pretty much from that point. The Iconians were rated as stro

Haha, thats totally cool, dude. I like that one. The Thalan seem like they should have been a bit more aggressive. One thing I noticed, is the Drengin are quick to send a dozen transports into my sectors, so if there in the game anything short of military conquest is foolish, because ultimately they become strong militarily.

Um, in DL the Drengin are very effective if they get the offensive, as the difficulty goes up. They quickly come with transports, several dozen on one planet if needed. The weakness is there unescorted, so if you build a light fighter, with low fire power, but fast engines it would be enough to keep your planet out of Drengin hands.

At a certain point in the game, it goes from being a colony rush to kind of an arms/economics race. It seems in higher difficulty the arms race favors the AI, which is good, but its not impossible for the human player to catch up. Basically, what I recommend is and have experimented with is, when more weapons/engines/defenses come along, build a hull for each sized craft in your empire, then upgrade to the superior plateform. I did this in a game recently, and it worked much better than I tho

thanks:) Sorry it lacks details of planet names as well. I wish I had a fancy for writing those things down. Ultimately the Altarians and Iconians grew strong again, and fought two further wars with the Freebees. At the ballte of Iconia though, it was obvious to even the most enthusiastic supports of the war that Iconia was breathing its last, like an old man on a respirator, and that Altaria had finally admitted defeat, by how quickly they offered peace. In between the final wars,

How is lesuire time sinful? I'm sorry you have to explain this one to me. In the scriptures, I believe its in Romans, where Pual commends us to do ALL things to the glory of God, and then later on he says do not sin merely because we are saved. I take sin to be something more than enjoying something that society views as a waist of time. For example, there a societal sins, and then there are sins which seem to be against God himself. Petty theft sometimes falls into this cateogry because of

I understand your desire to serve God, and how you view that as conflicting with your video games. What I suggest is, if you do want to still play computer games, just set aside an hour and mark that as your game time. Kind of as your 'me' time. I have done that on occasions, I'm single however so sometimes I'll play much longer, but then I won't play at all for weeks. But computer games don't waist your time, ultimately blaming the game sounds counter productive.

Yeah, in GTA its more of 'Oh, hey look he has a weapon, maybe I can grab that' and proceed to beat them up. Haha, eventually you can stomp them to death. Actually, I don't mind the vicious nature. I don't think kids should play this, that being the case I only have it out when no children are around.

I just kind of rp mine. Not that mine are all that great. I usually forget to take screen shots. I'd like to start doing that however.

The next couple years were an important, yet quiet time for the Freebees. They, for the first time, setup space stations without them being blown up. Multimedia and virtual reality became the word of the day. We began to setup trade routes with our rather fast freighter named, Trading Vessel. Also, our fleet was bulging at the seams, with just over 1500 ships, most of them capital ships. The Dark Yor, our old friends from the Altarian Wars, were now in a war for there very survival, the ent

The Drengin fear me! Haha, I'm in a game and got them beat. I had just finished a war with the Altarians, (I always fight them in my games) and the Drengin and I were both allied with the remaining races, and the Drengin wouldn't make an alliance with me- so I realized I was next. With maxed miniturization, I created one vessel of each appropriate size- and then upgraded my entire fleet! The Drengin were horrified! They pulled there fleets and transports out of my territory asap! It was so

I'm sorry for the lack of pictures/screen shots. I had no idea the game would be so epic.

The peace offer was not accepted! The Altarians were still stronger! They showed it ten weeks later when they struck back, and retook there homeworld, along with a lesser system, and almost retook a third! The offensive was in trouble. At this time the conquered worlds of the ALtarians began to show there potential, an ship production was mighty fine. The Freebees desided against retaking the lost system- and instead aimed for the capitol planet and, in fact the entire Altarian syst

With the threat of extinction, the Freebees demanded a new warship, named for there great race. So, the Freebee was launched, the most powerful warship in the navy. This warship proved to be a thorn in the side to both Iconian fighters, and Altarian battleships! The Iconians invaded a world to the south, so the Freebees set out to liberate there brethern. And three weeks later did exactly that. The Iconians weren't as determined as the Altarians- and bowed out of the war. A great sigh of r

I am gonna try my best with this AAR. I was getting frustrated, and had to keep restarting games on normal/intelligent AI(I always set them to intelligent) At the start here were the races: The Altarians Torian Confederation Iconians Yor Collective Thalans When I designed my custom race I was about done with the game, but thought I'd give it one more shot. My first colony, Freebee I had a nice couple of production bonuses(o
