MoM was my favourite game until WoM but as you deviated from the original concept I looked foward to LH and found that easily playable but missing a great many features that were in the original release of WoM. Another competing title in the era of MoM that has not been mentioned was Warlords. WL2 for play or WL3 for Campaign were fixed cities(neutrals) that were to be conquered to expand the Warlords' empires until they would clash for supremacy of the world. I always believed that the 3

Steam tells me that there is something wrong with my network or with Steamworks. I only get the try it now "bot" for a response with no relief. My game rig is high end running win7 64 and I also had total war napoleon which worked for a while. My play is mainly offline and when I update windows occasionally I also update all other programs as well; for example: Firefox 21 to 24. Steam has always been difficult but now will not work at all. I hope this gives you a shot at figuring out
I am an occasional player and have been buying your games for years. I have already purchased LH in addition to FE vanilla and your DLC but would be willing to pay another outlet or your service (Impulse/Gamestop) because of my repeated problems with Steam. Help!
Thanking all who answered the question; it appears that I will have to pre-order the collector's edition since I live in North America.
I never intended this post to be about the merits of Steam. I simply asked will there be a retail DVD purchase option along with the download without buying the collector's edition.
I see that with the new upcoming collector's edition one will receive a dvd copy of the Rebellion Game. Is there any retail or online store that will sell the "gold" 1.51(?) of the Rebellion Game? I do not mind having to register a legit copy through Stardock et. al but I usually play my games offline to prevent the continual intrusion of the various interactive vendors. I have been buying Stardock games since Strate
I read a post about what maybe considered for "stickies." I believe the first part of this post and any section that you deem necessary to both create or use a mod would make a fine sticky for the newbies and we who have that "dangerous level of knowledge," (enough to try but maybe as likely to screw the pooch as actually succeed.)
Masters of Magic hands down! Also my favorite game of all time (playing computer games since 1987) Steel Panthers as the turn based tactical leader Honorable mention: Warlords 2 and Civilization 3 Being able to have mega-armies with hundreds of units is my top appeal for play, as in these games. As the graphics improved the ability to deploy larger numbers of units seemed to have waned. Perhaps as more 64bit PC Strategy Games are attemp
Thank you to all! That seems to have corrected the problem. I can learn some tactics, etc. while I await the re-release of the next version.
Would I be able to go back from 1.09w to 1.09e?
Thank you for the reply; how do I shift from 109w beta to 109w non-beta as I intend to take my machine home Friday 17-12-2010. If I have to wait until the 1.1 version is released I will, gladly. I have been waiting almost 20 years for a replacement for MoM (for which I still have a 16bit 4Dos - Desqview - Qemm machine) my favourite game of all time.
Eventually, I will take my "game" computer home and will be without an internet connection. Will this prevent me from ever playing this game? If so, is this the new copy protection scheme now being used by Impulse/Stardock for all future titles?!!
Some of the Impulse games will not support win 2003 or win 2008. Others do not officially support the server OS' but nonetheless will still run on them. Then there are those applications that not only are not supported but are prohibited from installing at all! Will EWoM support these server workstation OS'? <span style="font-family: Arial;
I am currently upgrading my systems from win2000 to win8 x64 with the stations using two operating systems. You may find that you have little need for x64 since most software will run very well in x86 32 bit. Nonetheless, I am partial to Supermicro boards which are mainly for Servers but they have come out with workstation models in the last couple of years. If you are going to use legacy hardware you should use a board that handles both old and new. The best compromise is a 2008 boar
An on/off switch for espionage would be appreciated for those of us who dislike the current espionage system. Perhaps an ability to use DL, DA or the new TA espionage would be better; maybe an options menu item?
