start-up in Object Desktop Stardock Forums

Hi There, just bought GalCiv of the bargin basket! Actualy by coincidence, I have not been gaiming for 10-15 years(if you can call it gaming back then..lol).But this kind of gripped me . Does anybody have some could start-up advise? What bugs me in particular is that although I have the universal translator, I don't seem to be able to communicate effectively with anybody. How to you set up treaties and trade routes for example? Any help is appreciated .Thx

How do I set up trade routes and treaties with other races ? I understand that I need the galactic translator, but who I do get going once I have it. To me it looks like I only can use a very limited number of choice to communicate ... Thx
