ok, i just tried both those methods and they dont work, i'm on 64bit vista, maybe thats why. kinda annoying cause explorer doesnt match any of my themes very well with that bright white background. been googling for a way to change its color but nothing comes up to what i'm wanting, must not be a popular thing to change i guess
dcyphure
i was browsing some windowblinds skins, i noticed a few in pictures that show explorer open in the background and it looks alot different. such as the white background will be different color, i cant figure out how to change mine as white is a bit intense. and the left side panel will look different as well. so basically no matter what skin i use, the explorer background is always default white. the only way i can change it is to use classic theme and change it in vistas theme options.
whats the file size limit on uploading dreams? been trying to upload a 54 mb file but it always fails after its ALMOST done uploading
race/religion/male/female/disabled...etc has absolutly nothing to do with wether or not you become successful, talented, poor or rich at anything be it internet or real life. so i have to ask, why is the jewish impact on the internet a discussion? cause obviously the same could be discussed for any single person on the planet.
nevermind, i figured out a way to bypass it to force rendering
why would anyone care to try to crash any OS?, thats the stupidest thing i've ever read. "wow i can crash vista, how cool and clever i am" get a life
dream maker used to work fine when i had 32 bit vista i'm using 64 bit now, it runs fine till i try click create dream button and recieve error handling exception error. i tried uninstalling/reinstalling i tried compatability mode/run as admin anyone have a clue?
i've been waiting forever too, i mainly want the start menu to work i doubt their even bothering nor ever will. if they can do it for 32bit vista it shouldnt take long at all for 64bit they have out money so no reason to care apparantly. and if your reading stardock team...i want my money back, i bought it soley to replace my start bar with it and now that i migrated to 64bit, its completely useless thanks for little
sorry if this has been posted before but its first demo i saw of vienna and i have to say that whole 3d interface looks like @55 and theres no way thats going to be efficient. theres already 3d desktop apps like 3DNA and though a short lived novelty, is very slow to open apps as it requires you to walk to the other end of the room, its like a video game that opens your apps, that mistake is the 4 horsemen for microsoft and its enevitable demise on its own. http://www.youtube.com/watch?
i didnt purchase any but these master skins are not all that anyway, they get tiresome after a while, i swap between lots of em depending on mood but since dreamscene is still beta/preview..whatever and not likely to be fixed properly, i could care less. lot of good it does to have a nice animated wallpaper then suddenly see a black blank screen with dreamscenese failure to recover message late
i've been using objectdock docklet to replace my start bar in vista 64bit. takes forever to put all the icons and links in it how i want and along with dreamscene its very nice and sleek might swap back to 32 bit only cause my control panel in 64bit version wont display nor anything in it work or even show up under search...it comes back sometimes after reboot but not often..very wierd someone mentioned a problem with games, i know something that worked for me...right
what else could they add anyway that wouldnt make it more bloated than it is? what i did with mine was strip out all the excess using vlite. then i used tweakvista and objectdock to replace my startbar cause well...its cooler although the new mac osx leapord's launchbar thing is now even slicker than OD but maybe stardock will work on it. DS doesnt work too well in 64bit vista, when it crashes it never lets me turn it on again, in fact it wont even run personalize menu, whe
i would need taskbar to work cause what i do is i hide the windows start bar and use 3 docklets in its place...one is for taskbar, other for open apps and third for icons to me it looks alot nicer and cleaner....so guess i'll have to wait for it to mature. do they have something like objectodock for linux? hows winFX work in vista?
can anyone tell me if objectdock works fine as in everyting works normally in 32bit vista? and does anyone know when the next version of it will be released? i havnt checked on it since early january of this year so i'm not aware if any new versions came out since thanks in advance
FOR GAMES!!! pc games if developed for it could see some better benefits, higher ram options are also a benefit for the future in say 3 years from now when 3.5 gigs wont be enough...and you all know that will happen so 64bit will be a must before too much longer. i bet ms's next OS is pure 64bit
i think dcyphure was referring to the original artist having the higher quality original tapes stuff in order to make some custom dream if compensated. yes thats what i'm meaning...he obviously has very good talent, did you see the morning view one, very nice if it was looped well and in hi def. and restrictions or not if those were hi def i'd be using a couple on my desktop. but he mentions he doesnt
i know that wallpaper site http://www.digitalblasphemy.com/movies/ has some vids that would be awesome for desktop...problem is they arenot perfect loops nor hi quality, they are more or less demos i bet the person who made those would make some if compencated, they seem to be prerendered and i'd love to have the originals that were in higher quality
i use firefox hopefully things will resolve when dreamscene is official, however long that will be the only trouble i ever seem to experience from dreamscene is that sometimes it will crash and go blank, maybe a codec issue seems alot are concerned with cpu usage i noticed when reading comments from user uploads at deskscapes dreams but i havnt found any situation where it causes perf
you cant blame vista itself since there are many like me that are running vista just fine, i havnt encountered any problems even from my beta audio driver. here is the best way to ensure a smooth long running os 1.use popular namebrand hardware, even a cheap stick of ram or psu can cause oddball problems, mobo is most common cause of all problems wether it be hardware or driver related and all will vary depending on os used. 2.dont install junkware (poorly coded 3rd party
surely there must be a way to prevent it from timing out nice demo aaron i found cpu resources alot less disturbing when using nvidia's purevideo...i have a 20 minute hi def mpeg2 loop that uses approx 7-15% on core 1 and 2% on core 2
many like to change skins now and then, wb makes that easy as like xp i doubt there will be many freebie skins thats easy to install, xp had that patch and that was bout it which i did like cause it didnt use as much resources so i think wb and others will be around for vista hopefully objectdock will follow as well, i prefer to use it instead of windows bar for that mac os look, much cleaner and visually appealing that doesnt grow as tiresome anyone know if objectodocks even works a
its around 70mb's i think after maybe a couple minutes i see that is there a size limit? havnt seen it listed
after installing nvidia's purevideo, i noticed a drop in cpu usage..even during long 20min video loops, core 1 is now like 2% and core2 is maybe 5%, drops from 0-11 peak where before it peaked at 16% thought i'd mention that for anyone whos concerned with cpu usage but i'll also note i did some multitasking with dreamscene running i was encoding a video which by itself uses 98-100% both cores, then i ran dreamscene, then played a video on media player while defragmenting..a
tried both ie and firefox, during upload get error message saying maybe i timed our or not connected to internet no reasont it shouldnt finish uploading...any ideas?
i love it, no probs at all
