Yes, I do believe there's a decline in skinning. Use to be all sorts of people were making them, now seems like only a few. One of my favorite skinners is "Essorant". Tried reaching him/her a few times, but no response. Current blind in use is "Laguna", and listed by Stardock Design. Will Stardock Design be updating their Windowblinds to Win 10?

Interesting and sad thread for Wincustomize, windowblinds and Stardock and customers like me. Doesn't appear anybody considers this issue important. Guess we're suppose to throw them all away. Too bad, Starbucks will be losing a long time paying customer, since 2001 I have Win7 Pro and ten-fifteen skins that I either paid for or were free, that are excellent for my needs. Not a clue how to update them for Windows 10 PRO, much less the time to lear

I use Firefox 32 and Windowblind 8 without problems. However, recently, when I upgraded to Firefox 35, the top of Firefox Windowblind was not there. I moved back to Firefox versions 34 and 33, still the same. Then back to 32, and Windowblind 8 works fine. No problem with Windowblind 8 on other applications. I run Windows 7 Professional with all updates. Any thoughts?

At under $5.95 Skins are impulsive, unnoticeable purchases. Does it need to be said; most people don't need Windowblinds or Skins to work and or use their computer. Raise the price, any rational mind with limited income has to reevaluate, not only 'the' price, but the accumulated price for all skin purchases over a year. At that juncture, it wouldn't surprise me if the money goes elsewhere. Currently, I have about 30 skins, of which five cost no

I don't understand why some computers are slowing while others are not, unless those that slow have Win 7 installed after the fact. That might be part of the problem. Win7 needs power and memory I have been using Win 7 Professional on a new Dell core i7 with 6G memory for 5 months now, and its as fast as it was the day I got it, way faster then Vista or XP. Course, I clean my system weekly and use multiple virus protection tools to insure protection. IMO

I was a paying member of Stardock (Object Desktop) for many years, but recently decided not to renew my membership because it's value dwindled providing next to nothing. I can almost appreciate someone wanting to be paid for the windowblind if it's a completed high quality product; but to see Stardock charging for Stardock windowblinds in this economic climate is disappointing. I guess Stardock is applying that old adage, you get want you pay for some those they pr

After opening "WB 6.09g [b] 135" to make some adjustment and properly closing out; this version never actually unloads from the Task Manager. Only a manual "end process" unload through Task Manager closes WB allowing me to reopen if needed... annoying at the very least.

If I want to switch one icon for another is the same set, how is that done? Seems the Icons and Cursers tab "change icon" button doesn't work in the manner expected. I tried multiple times with one pkg to change #04 to 43.1 and it would allow the change.
TitanI9: What problems are you having with it?
I select a color for button face or any other idem I want to change the color of, save and apply, all seems to work but nothing happens. I uninstalled and reinstalled SS 6 - 3 times each with the same result. The prior version worked fine.

The most recent Windowblinds isn't working properly, very annoying. Sometimes when I go to open it, turns out it never fully closed out after the last use. Click on it a few times and find multiple openings in taskmgr... close each manually, then reclick the link and it opens. What's up??? Wasn't having the problem with the earlier version. WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.1 (build 50 x86) WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this P

Since I downloaded 6.0, can't change colors and can't reinstall prior version using archive function; keep getting error. Not sure who or where to post this issue either but it's annoying to say the least.

I won't be contributing for a few reasons; but, the main reason is I have five pet charities that I've supported for many years, including a child abuse prevention organization and an adolescent education facility. All based in CA which allows me to visit and see what's being done with the funds. Good luck with your efforts.

The competition is tough (deviantArt for example)... I was lead to believe Wincustomize and Deviant merged or are merging. What I have to wonder if that's true is ... what this merger would cost?; and who's paying? Personally, I don't see the benefits of those two merging - outside of hardware, software and human assets merging under one P&L; cutting combined operating costs.

Objectdesktop subs are for continuing development of OD,WC subs goes to supporting the running of the site and is only $10.00 if you're already a OD subscriber That might be your perception, but its not this businessmans! I've run a P&L since back in the early 70's - I have approximately 40 different subscriptions for a number of computer related items, not including personal ones. The original question asked what would make me want another s

I paid Stardock for a blog navigator which turned out to be a waste for a few reasons. Wincustomize is nothing more then a fun site, not worth paying for because I am already an annual subscriber to OD. Charging for Wincustomize in conjunction with OD - would make me have to re-consider my OD subscriptions overall value and cost; and I suspect many others would as well. A piece of advice - trying to turn this into a subscription site would be very costly. I know a few others sites that

thanks for thanking me It would have been nice if you waited for me to respond as I see fit... but, no... Course, that also fits with your misleading assumptions regarding my intent and your skin. By the way, I am not "searching" for the perfect "free" skin. I said I won't "pay" for skins that don't work completely or properly on my computer. Oh, the detail on your skin was outstanding. Its common etiquette not to post peopl

Thanks unclerob... I was planning on explaining that as well, but to many distractions at work the last two days. As a business owner, 100% of the hardware PO's I sign are for laptops and it's been that way for sometime due to the staff mobility. That's true as well with many of our software vendor clients; not so with IT staff of course. But, here it appears as though many skinners are working on desktops... are there special reasons for that choice "anybody?" <br/
