I believe he starts with a 10% speed penalty, check me on that. You can buy the 10% increase speed boots at the start of the game for 1k, which brings you up to par but behind in cash for a bit. Eventually playing rook, your going to want the 6k boots since the 50% speed bonus if hit is AWESOME and the rook is usually the target since he is a a freaken monster. The big disadvantage of the rook is early game, his main dmg dealer is that hammer slam whi

[quote who="liq3" reply="11" id="2148931"] The towers are weak in the end game. At the start, what is it, 3 max towers? They are powerufl at the start, but once people start buying armor upgrades, the towers lose any use except for creep control.
reduce turtling? If the other players are turtling, you win the game. If you don't , your doing something wrong.
Rook to me just seems like an inefficient asassin. Like Dracil said, take out towers and purge forward is the Rooks greatest asset. He is slow, his attacks can usually be avioded if you catch it in time. If I was the rook I would have that teleporation favor item to use, and just tank the damage so your teammates can do stuff. That is what I think is role is in this game. As an assisin, even generals can solo him. I know Erubus can solo him with ease (just
Mist is way too weak at the late game stage. If you have bat swarm and bite, you can teleport anywhere. And by anywhere, across voids in the map, you can batswarm away or to enemies without much a of count down time. While in mist, a demigod in the late game will probably be GAINING hps because of all the armor/+hp regen items, and just wiat till your out of mana and then get you. I tried mist strat at the start when playing erubus, but he is just sooooo much better as
Erubus, his minions come from the dead reinforcements.
Most demigods, if not all have an area effect ability that will wipe the floor with 10+ minions at a time, i'm going to treat this as not a biggy, but I can see where 20+ minions is a strong strat.
idol minions are worthless anyway. I just build all generals as asassins with their personal minions without the idols.
I never but idols period.
If your erubus, you can bat swarm across the voids. save on some teleportation money.
Hell, I have well over a thousand favor points, none are recorded, at least when i go to the buy menu. I like the +400 health one anyway, erubus needs all the health he can get at the start.
Think I found a way around this. I played a single player tournement with the rook (I have been playing only erubus on panth) I played a pant, and what do you know, I'm the rook on the dark team :)) Going from the erubus to the rook is like going from NASCAR to horse racing. :P But the rook is cool that you can do 1.2k dmg from a normal hit with the 2x gloves.
I play almost exatcly like Blakey. The Batswarm Bite max combo is deadly. Just have high armor gear with mana regen, you shouldn't die after lvl 6. Erubus is a beast. Who gives a $%@% about idols, those abilities just rock together. Regulus players hsould fear me. Had one regulus player kill me twice before lvl 6 in my last game, rest of the game was hell for him.
I beat it with erubus with relative ease, so its possible :)
usually when you get to lvl 20 the game is over.
Minions in the early game are just not worth it in my opinion, they don't really give you all that much of an advantage. Once priests come into the game, minion power goes up significantly. Until then, I'd rather just save the extra cash to get my mana hat as soon as possible, and then some armor. (I always start out with the +400 hp favor item, this helps with not buying the armor straight up)
Do summoned minions give exp?
That means I have to learn to play more then 1? Anyway, anytype of randomness is a good thing. I would be happy if the flags could be randomized as well. Maybe shops appear all over the place and sell random things :P We fcould go on and on. Randomization reduces the repitition of any game. Making things a bit more 'fresh'
I usually go for a warrior type Erubus. I use Bite and Bat swarm to kill enemies. The first thing I always get is the hat that cost 1500 ( 70% mana regen and +some amount of mana). If you can't keep your bite, your going to lose. Then I usually go with the gloves that give a chance for 2x the damage as well as big armor modifiers. The problem lies in surviving the early game. early level bite isn't the greatest. I avoid the Mass Swarm and mist.
I know, running this game on max, everything looks stunning. The gameplay itself is very fresh as well. Just need to tweak the multiplayer connection problems and this game is good to go. Two smaller thumbs up uintil multiplayer is ironed out a bit :)
Too many companies are lawsuit happy these days. It is like how some people WILL sue you over ANYTHING. Anyway, once Stardock finds out what REALLY happened, then they will make a respectable decision based on the outcome. As of right now, if it wasn't truely Gamestops fault, and they were on the forums saying, hey, lets bring up a lawsuit, it would look bad. Wait until the facts have come in. Reason to keep your pre-order
Game mechanics. Fast, fun, exciting, and the urge to keep playing. Randomization is also a HUGE key in any game to make a game fun. I do not want to play the same exact game every single time. Games that did this for me Diablo 2 Civ 4 Gal Civ 2 Nethack
Nothing like 100 unique heros, where only 10 max get played. Guy didn't even have to waste his time creating the others.
Didn't like 300, I just can't get my mind around that movie when there is 300 men wearing thongs and capes roaring and fighting. So I don't think I'm going to see watchmen.
