No kidding - there really is no way for me to redownload these files at all. . . SD, can I just order a CD of the changed files? lol
Armando Penblade
oh no! Stardock, please respond to this question! I am on a 56K connection and CANNOT download those files again until I go back to college, and that's not until September! PLEASE, tell us a way around this horrible system :
I guess I am still curious - what were the results of the multiplayer poll? Cuz I know *I* voted yes
thanks for the reply, boogie, that sounds great to me!
*nods* I like it a lot as well. Please let this be implemented through moddable code-snippits wherever possible, I'd LOVE to play around with the text, if nothing else Is anyone else kinda reminded of the GameScore Blog from the 360 with this feature? They're both pretty neat
Well, as an aspiring game developer engaged to a staunch female rights activist, my fiance and I send you our biggest congrats, Cari! Your work is remarkable, not because you're a woman, but because you're a damned fine programmer who wasn't afraid to go into what is sometimes an unwelcoming industry. Keep up the good work
Congrats, SD, Adam and Morgan are fricking tough
I can't vote on the other poll, so I'll justsay it here: YES And yay for us PA kids making a showing!
Seeeeeeeeee? I KNEW the Drengin really were just big, fuzzy, in-some-places-kinda-scaley teddy bears at heart!!!!!!! *GLOMP*
man. . . why am I only on CS111 right now? By the time I graduate, you guys will be full up
aye. . . me at least, my 'capital' worlds have the entire infrastructure devoted to that building type, excepting 2 factories on tech/economic capitals to help it all build/upgrade. Maybe that's just me being illogical That said, damn Brad, this is very nice. THANK you for the REAL defending fleets. . . I get sick of picking off 1/0/0 0/0/
hehehee I like it a lot
When flipping through a gaming mag, I like to be made to laugh. That may jut be me, but I appreciate a sense of humor.
Christ, Java is slower'n molasses. Not the language, but the virtual machine. Screw compatability, give me C!
I just want to throw in Brad, and I know it's been said a lot before, but it needs to be said again: getting mentioned by Tycho in his little series of 'space games he's excited about' is one of the best things that happened to you guys pre-release. The decision to put ads on said site, and Tycho/Gabe's willingness to sell said adspace to you guys (I.E. - they like and want to support your game), put you in front of a huge audience of gamer
So I guess I am the weirdest guy on the forum. I like MOO3 alright, but I can't beat the AI, so I always lose. The same thing happens on GalCiv2, so, I can't even faulot MOO3 for that. I will go away now
Stephen Baxter's Ring novels are very, very good hard, hard, HARD scifi. His science is impeccable, but his ideas are awesome. Like, if you thought that the Ringworld was a significant piece of technology, wait till you see HIS Ring! So yeah, 'Ring' and 'Vacuum Diagrams' are bot hreally great books in the series. Most of what has been mentioned so far is great, too. I'd also recommend Spider Robinson's Calahan's serie
I guess I was wondering. . . will you guys ever sell shirts commercially? I don't have a camera, so it's not like I could really participate in this contest. . . but I'd sure love to sport a cool Thalan logo!
I just wanna say. . . Stardock, you just crept above Bioware and Blizzard in my books. Which is along hte lines of Mother Theresa saying that you're more interesting than a filth-ridden street in New Delhi
How could the population be less than 1? I know that the information invasion tactic did this, but wouldn't you have those "unhappy" citizens left for the popluation anyway? this means one of two things - the negative population from invasions bug mentioned later in the patch list (IE, if you did the
Stardock: You guys are AMAZING Thank you for all of this. after the 55 dollar waste that was Oblivion, it's so good to know that some companies actually care
tony: There are several civs (okay, maybe one or two) that use a similarly coded AI - you notice in the patch notes that it says that the Yor are derivative of the Drengin now. . . I believe that other races are based off of each other. of course, even if there are only, say, 5 AIs total, that's only 2 that seems to have been upgraded
May every deity yet thought of bless you
If we could access 'random event' and 'planetary event' (maybe even 'bonus tiles') stuff in modding, a Star Control mod would be FANTASTIC but then again, I'm a sad, sadl ittle fanboy!
Awesome job once more And once more, I point ya to your 90/100 at 1Up.com
