Actually kyro, if you are still reading this (and I hope you are), I was wondering if you know why on Earth the game uses more processing power (and heats my system more) when I am trying to connect to other users than it does in the midst of graphically insane four-demigod duels? Because my temps spike to 80C when searching for games and never go above 72-3 in-game =/

This happens to me, too. Had a post about it, but the devs ignored it.
And still trying to be noticed :)
Well, err, I am contacting the devs right now.
I get the same with Pantheon games, too.
The idea of being matched up with random players around my skill level without clanstacking jerks is one of the big draws to demigod for me. I run the game in windowed mode, as it's clearly a supported mode, being that it's an option, right? If the window focus is anywhere but Demigod at the *moment* that a Pantheon game goes into loading mode (that is, the instant when all the players are properly connected), Demigod hangs, irreparably and completely. It starts sucking up more and more RAM until I end the process, but no network utilization or anything else. It looks like these guys are being
I had no idea who that voice was at the very end. And then realized it was probably from one of the demigods I've never played, since I've only tried Oak and Erebus so far :P
I got this AI on my team last night: http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/player/17403 Man, that AI sucks donkey balls. . . talk about unfair lumping him with me! Lucky that I was playing a mean Oak and carried the game with the other human, giving "Fedel" one of his only three wins ;)
That is pretty fantastic/bizarre.
To be fair, it doesn't really put you at a disadvantage since everyone else is losing their points, too ;)
Any word on fixes for this? . . . :(
Aye; there are quite a few gamers who (rightly) avoided Vista in its initial launch period thanks to significant performance loss in games. . . but who wanted access to 64-bit processors and 3.5+ GB of RAM. I'm such a person; I'm holding off until Win7, which in Beta roughly matches my FPS in XP64. Of course, the full release will be more bloated, which will slow things down to an extent, so I may keep an XP64 partition for the absolute newest games until DirectX1
Yeah, it certainly would be cool if that worked. . . but I'll settle for being able to play consistently FIRST, then track my progress AFTERWARDS :)
WinXP64 user on a Q9300, ATI 4870, 4GB of RAM, ASUS P5Q PRO mobo I get random hangs just before loading screens when connecting to Pantheon games--essentially, just when it is about to transfer over to the loading screen, Demigod stops dead. Network activity dies, it stops using processing power, etc. Unresponsive. I run it windowed and if I move other windows over it and then close them, the screen doesn't repaint Demigod. Happens about 1/3 of the time that I

Is there *really* more to come? ;)
Quoting Lord Reliant, reply 19 That does NOT sound like my idea of a fun game! Gross... Good times those.
In F3, one of your possible missions involves "radiation research" for a pretty cooky gal. If you get yourself up to 600 Rads wor
*cries* Now I have time to *beat* Fallout 3 before the announcement hits! Sooooo unfair ;)
O.M.G. Thank God I will have Fallout 3 to get me through the waiting on Tuesday. . . but how do I survive the waiting until Tuesday?!

No kidding we have, Warreni! I'd *die* to have Stardock make a Baldur's Gate/Planescape: Tormet-style RPG. I mean, assuming the death came after playing the game, of course. Past that, as an aspiring author, I understand the lack of time, Brad. I've got more fully-formed ideas running around in my head than there are words in this world to write about. But I've got to keep plugging away in RoughDraft to try to get it all down in publishable form before I die an early and tra

I just want to say. . . I love you guys, always and forever. Thank you.
