I think you will be happy with it uless you are running it on a laptop or some branded system with proprietary dodads that might need special drivers. I have Vista ultimate 64 bit and it refuses to play nice with my scanner, but works fabulous with everything else.
I would just use an ubuntu live CD and gparted (if i didn't have a dual boot with ubuntu or other gnome linux already). Its free and easy and it works.

I think you should get a linux live-CD, boot from that and explore your HDD to look for junk you can't see while Vista is running. Did you install anything made by Sony or play any Sony/BMG music CDs or DVDs? Did you have a bit-torrent client running over night?
If the guy that posted to your blog is so upset that people are selling skins he should be using linux and getting the free themes available at gnome-look.org or kde-look.org. People that make skins have no obligation to share them free of charge. If he really needs windows he should just make his own damn skin. They say the average level of intellect on the internet remains constant, but the population keeps increasing. Everyone welcome the anonymous poster to the net.
