Yeah, tried Bootskin. Most of the images look rather dull due to the nature of the file allowed for a boot screen. All I want to do is swap out the bitmap or what have you from SP1 to SP2. No one has a default Bootskin for Media Center. I don't think if I installed it on that partition I could get it to save that default and somehow transport it to the other partition and vice versa. Yeah, I've heard that was the local for the boot screen, but rumor has it that that file may do a little more than just apply the boot screen... Any insight on that? I had googled it to death a while back and came up with a draw. Alot of people out there were saying it was merely for the boot screen others said it went a little deeper. Would one of you fine folks out there be able to tell me where I might locate the default boot screen file (not in the boot skin app, but in the OS) is located? I have a dual booting machine that I have the Media Center shell on one partition and the other is configured without all that junk, for digital audio recording. Thanks, I thought there might be a way around it, but I couldn't see how to change the text in just that screen alone; suspecting what you have mentioned. "Encoded" WindowBlind Glitch in OS Customization WinCustomize Forums

I have installed the "ENCODED" WindowBlind by Lasse Salling/Pixel Pirate, and I am very happy with it. There is only one problem well, actually two problems I have encountered so far. The Add/Remove programs display is missing the dialog on the left side by the Windows components icons and, if you click on these submenus, they are also missing dialog.
