Yep, I have the retail CD version of SR2 and Reboot worked for me. I checked with Stardock before I bought, and they told me it will work with all versions of SR2. One thing - I spent quite a while trying to figure out why I was getting an error on launch. Make sure you have both the 800x600 and 1024x768 UIs installed for SR2, then copy the entire contents of the Reboot folder into your SR2 folder, overwriting any files. Then, launch the game from the SR2 folder.

I couldn't get the expansion to work at first. I have the disk version of the vanilla game and was told that the expansion would work with it. I tried copying the expansion over top of the vanilla folder. Running the exe just result in nothing happening. I also tried reinstalling vanilla in its own folder and downloading the expansion into a different folder. But, launching resulted in an error - "This application has failed to start because DebugMsg.dll was not found. Re-insta

I know that the expansion isn't out on TG.Net yet, but... Can you tell us if the TG.Net version of the expansion works with the boxed version of the game? I have the boxed version that I bought before it was added to TG.Net. It would be great if the TG.Net expansion can be applied to the retail version, and additionally, if it removes the StarForce requirement. (Fingers crossed)

I am getting this too - tried it on 3 different machines... Windows XP, Intel P4 3.2Ghz HT, ATI Radeon 9800 256Mb Windows Vista, Intel Duo 6700, nVidia 7950 512Mb Windows XP, Intel Quad, nVidia 8800 512Mb Obviously, the faster the machine, the less you notice the slow-down, but it's there on all 3. As soon as the pop-up message goes away, the slow down stops. The tutorial does it all of the time - I guess due to the tutorial text box.

Ugh, stupid question... I just created my ICO account. The first field says "Name", so I entered my name. I was so caught up in the CD Key issue I was having that I didn't realize it was asking what I wanted my login name to be. Now it's my name, first and last. Can that be changed?

Sorry, a little confused - too many cross threads now. I pre-ordered a few months ago to get into Beta 4 via TotalGaming.Net tokens. I have downloaded the final game just fine and am able to play single player. So, will I be getting a new CD Key for ICO?

I just downloaded Sins and am trying to create my Ironclad Online account. It's asking for my CD Key. I pre-ordered using Stardock Central. The serial number that I have doesn't work. So, where is the CD Key?

I don't think this is an option, but I would like to see it. Is there a way to make a game purchase with remaining tokens and pay the difference in money for how ever many tokens you are short? I just bought my 2nd TG.Net subscription. Using those tokens, I grabbed Sins of a Solar Empire Preorder and the new GalCiv II expansion preorder, leaving me with 2 tokens. But, I see a 3 token game that I am interested in. I'm not going to buy another 10 pack just to get one more token. So, having an opti

I think this thread answers my question... https://forums.galciv2.com/?forumid=357&aid=141572 So, is it safe to say it is just the CD in an envelope?

If I pay the extra $5 shipping for the expansion, exactly what is mailed to me? Is there a box and/or manual or just a CD in an envelope?

Silent Archer, thanks for the tips on that mission. I too have tried it a couple times and have the same issues with directing the convoy. I'll try your suggestions! DoW is definately my favorite RTS - can't wait for the 2nd expansion. Rise of Nations/T&P is my 2nd fav - looking forward to Rise of Legends, too Warcraft III is 3rd, but I think I'm finally burned out with it. Definately got my moneys worth on WCIII - can't say how many PC skirmishes I've played.

I too have a laptop, It is a Dell XPS (Gen 1) 3.4Ghz HT, 1GB RAM, Radeon 9800 256Mb, so it's actually a desktop in a laptop case. But, I'm very happy that Laptops are supported by GalCiv II.
