This is a subject I wander back to occasionally. Ultimately, everything that people get paid to do today will be done automatically. Traditionally, the increase in stuff generated by fewer people meant that more people were available to move to the next innovation. Fewer people and land needed to grow food meant more people to run the textile factories and more land to grow cotton. None of this is substantiated, but it comes from late development kit leaks. The conference today lines up very well with these leaks. The CPU is rumored to be a 8 core with 1.6ghz approximate clock speed. The only reason they'd go for a low clock speed like that is if AMD is deriving it from their Bobcat line of processors. The sliding left and right to switch apps reminds me of the Blackberry Playbook UI, only it sounds like playbook got it right while the uglybox interface screwed up on it... The Vita interface is a little similar except you have to press a button first to pull out to where you can switch between apps. It's too bad the Playbook has so little support because I really do like its interface.

That's not too terribly low of resolution when you compare it to other contemporary non-PC games. Console games run at 1280x720 for the most part, for instance.

It's really annoying to have to logout of my low end PC and login to my Gaming PC on steam just because it gags if you're logged in on more than one system at once.
