changing win xp fonts in Beginners WinCustomize Forums

How can I change the font in red to the font I used in blue (image below)? I've downloaded a theme that had the fonts changed already and I was wondering if there's way to do this without depending on an external theme. The screenshot is of the start menu but I'd also like to change the font used in the folders throughout the OS too. Thanks.
