Thank you for your help Wizard I decided to go ahead and restore the system which cured the problem.

OK Thanks, will do.
I haven't made a support ticket yet but I have searched the forums for this and found nothing. I reinstalled windows 7 and all Stardock programs. I had no problems until I tried using the sounds associated with mouse clicks on Cursorfx. I changed the right click up & down buttons to make a sound. I decided I didn't like it and tried to go back to no sounds, it won't change. I've uninstalled cursorfx 2.16.0 and reinstalled 3 times. I installed cursorfx 2.11.0 a couple
Problem Solved! (hopefully....) Fired up Impulse and it had an update (which changes the Impulse logo to GameStop logo, yippee advertising!). So I thought I would try WB update again just for fun (like I don't have anything better to do) and what do you know, it's working. Granted I haven't had time to put it through it's paces but we'll see. My other problem still remains though and that is how can I get an archive restored?
In theory you are right but I have seen bits and pieces of apps linger after a a partition restore with out a wipe (and I've done many). The only sure way to eradicate everything is a format and image restore or reinstall. Just as I would never trust blasting an image over an OS that had been infected by a virus I'm sure that there is something in this WB install that finds a way to hang around, because it did. I will do another image restore if someone can explain why I can't res
Yes you would think that but as I and others have found out this is not the case. Something gets it's hooks in and won't let go. An image applied over an old OS might still retain some bits so I'm thinking a drive format may be the only option.
I'm having numerous problems also after installing on a Win7 64 OS. The first time I used Impulse to update but after reinstalling a system image I used the stand alone installer, same thing both times. Both IE9 and Firefox are screwed up, Robomform crashes and I'm getting constant error reports from Norton. Everything runs slow in general. Currently I have WB uninstalled and it's usable. I can't get Impulse to restore any backed up archives, they are on a different dr
Impulse. Now I can't restore an archive through Impulse nor can I use the latest build. If I want to use WB again it appears I'll have to burn the drive down to bare metal then blast my image on. I tried to fix it by simply installing a backup image over the top but evidently the new version digs in to deep for that. The thing that frustrates me is I'm a long time customer of Object Dock and purchased it, once again, this year. This is the first update I had seen for WB si
After searching the knowledge base again I ran across the procedure for installing archived apps. Not exactly user friendly I must say. How about a big button that says IN EMERGENCY (or in case we send out an update that hoses your box) PRESS HERE!
After installing the latest update to WB7 I had numerous problems. I ended up doing a system restore. Is there no way to just roll back WB to a previous version? I have many versions archived but there seems to be no way to access them.
Yes it's beta but it is supposed to be the "final" version. The articles I've read on it agree that it is fully baked and any changes between now and the ship date will be minor. So shouldn't and couldn't Stardock be out front on this and have their product ready to roll out when 7 does?
I've read everything available on these forums as to why RightClick doesn't work in Vista for some and have yet to find a solution. RightClick hasn't worked on my Vista computer for many months now. I installed it right after buying this computer new 11/07, it worked well for several months and then quit. The only way I can access it now is through the windows key. It won't autostart so I have it in quick start. This really defeats the purpose of the program in my opinion.
Going to a two tiered pricing structure, interesting. Now will have to pay extra for features I'm currently supposed to have with Object Desktop, WindowsFX, IconX and RightClick, but don't work with Vista?
I would like to know how WindowsFX on Vista is coming also. Is it dead, dying or what?
Noticed that too and would very much like that feature returned.
Well, I recieved a manual, and guess what, not one useful tip on how to skin this... [link="http://io9.com/assets/resources/2008/04/Babbage%20Difference%20Engine%20No.%202.jpg"]WWW Link[/link]
Aardvark? :CONGRAT:
I just don't like the trails. I had a large variety with CXP now I feel limited. I also believe they should emanate from the rear of the cursor not the leading edge. Everything seems to work as designed from what I can tell, so far.
As long as I'm complaining...the trails should come from the rear of the cursor, not the tip. It's not a wand is it?
I used SDC to uninstall, I can now use settings but it's quite odd. I make the settings then apply nothing happens but I then go to 'Trails" or "Effects" and double click in a selection box and it applies the settings from "settings"....strange, but functional.
Yes, quite messed up, it's no longer listed in add/remove programs (programs and features in Vista). Also apparently this is not the "final" version as in "about" it says Version 2.00 Beta 3. I'll try an install over then see if it's listed and remove and reinstall, jeesh!
Installed, rebooted and everything but "settings" works. This isn't a problem with my current cursor but some of them need resizing. Anyone else encounter this problem and if so is there a fix?
Yes I found it, thank you. Why buried in misc I wonder and why not direct users there instead of the less than helpful website. Anyway thanks again, I'm off to reboot.
It expired only because it's a beta. Just download the latest version.
I see no option to download the latest version (at CursorFX website or Stardock Central). I am more than a little confused that they just disabled the beta and sent no e-mail just instructions to go to www.cursorfx.net/ for the final version and there is no option to upgrade without paying again.
I am referring to CursorFX PLUS in the post above, sorry for any confusion.
