Thanks Rob and Ben too. Great questions, discussion and insight into GC4. Thanks also to Brad Wardell for being so open and forthcoming to all the questions asked of him regarding GC4. Great Stuff Guys!!!

For flavour, an option for a battle after action report that's super bare-bones for those not interested in all the technical details is to generate an article presented by the Galactic News Network. The briefest form could be the headline, while the article goes into ship numbers and losses. A more detailed report could be one presented by the equivalent of the war ministry, with an executive summary outlining the basics of losses and weapon effectiveness, while the body provides numerical details and perhaps more.

Great interview, really informative. Thanks for giving us some insight into what you're vision for GalCiv 4 is. If I've understood correctly you want each game to create a compelling, immersive, epic emergent story that the player wants to see reach its conclusion?

 

If so then that sounds amazing, and will definitely incentivise players to complete a game even on the biggest maps.
