Impulse issues with Sins

Impulse is really getting on my nerves!

 

I have the original Sins installed, I patch it with the update, Sins will no longer work. I gett a "dump" error, and the game crashes before the first screen appears. This happens after patching through Sins, or downloading entrenchment. I have had to reinstall Sins 4 times now.

it is a kick in the head, but everyone is having the same problem, hopefully stardock will hear about it and patch quickly, because atm, no one can play

sorry Im not as informed about how these things work. What does that mean I have to send the dump files to Ironclad?

Im also having a problem with Impulse update for Sins. Its not veryfing the download. I bought the game at Bestbuy and got the 1.05 update. Then I was directed to Impulse to get the remaining updates.

I get a message that Sins isnt installed correctly look for application updates.

Is there another source for sins updates besides impulse since I bought a CD rather than downloaded the game from Impulse?

Impulse is the only place to obtain the latest updates. You might try uninstalling the game as it is now, reboot your PC, then re-install just using Impulse. It should install to the latest version.

About the Mini-dump files, you mentioned that you got a 'dump' file, I assumed this is the 'mini-dump' file error. When the error occurs a popup lets you know and you can access that mini-dump file, which you then e-mail to [email protected] for help.
