ESPIONAGE REQUEST

Please in the new update work on the espionage skill. There is soooo much potential with it, but the current espionage in Dark Avatar is not as potent as they could be. I have a list of idea's and strongly urge you to use them in the new expansion pack, because I think they would seriously add on to the game.

Passive:
Can See Stats
Planet Visibility
Investigate Planet
Can See Research
Missions:
Sabotage Improvement
Sabotage Building
Sabotage Project
Steal Treasury
Spread Influence
Poison Water: causes unhealthiness
Forment Unhappiness
Support planet Revolt
Steal Technology
Influence Alignment
Influence Political Party
Perform Counterespionage

Please if anyone supports these changes post a reply.

At the very least I believe the Krynn's Super Ability needs to be worked on. Simply because starting the game with 1 spiy shadows in potentcy compared to always get first attack or super diplomat.

Or Super Breeder.
In my eyes, there is no ability as strong as Super Breeder.

I guess i wouldn't mind some changes to the espio,,,, i mean the spying in this game. But i don't think they should become too powerful. The spies in this game are a side note and should remain a small "help" to your civ.

I don't mind it the way it is but i see there there is potential for more / better abilities. However, the more they can do the more complocated they will be and the more management they will require. Also, i think giving spies the ability to destroy an improvbement that took a lot of turns to build or to incite a revolt and cause a planet to flip among other things will take away from the rest on the game.

I do agree that the Krynn super ability is very weak. Pehaps they can build couter spy buildings at a fraction of the cost, or get cheaper spies. With the changes coming in TA im thinking that maybe this point will be moot.

My personal favorite is Super Hive. Nothing beats rush buying basic factories for 90 bc. The range bonus is pretty sweet, too.

I like the current system, and I'd love to see more missions for each spy. Especially if you can affect popularity and spike someone's political party.

Brad//Frogboy has already announced that in GalCiv2 Version 2.0 (released just before or just after TA, depending on your source), espionage will include a semi-reversion to the old style in that it will allow passive spying on a civ as a whole to up your intelligence level. While this doesn't mean other suggestions aren't viable, keep that in mind and also keep in mind that it is a GC2 2.0 update, don't beg or even urge for them in TA.
