It's good to hear that you are, at least, thinking about being focused on your business, again (though I hope that the point of that focus is on customization).
And, I do understand the appeal (and even the necessity) of getting experts in to focus on certain parts of your business (if it helps you focus on the important stuff, that's even better).
But, here's the thing:
I'm not a gamer. In any given period, I may purchase 1 or 2 out of every 200 or 300 games.
You allude to Object Desktop 2012. I *really* hope that means something (other than de rigeur updates to existing programs).
I didn't buy into Stardock because they made games (and I've been a customer for more than 10 years).
I didn't join WinCustomize for the latest news in what was happening with 'Sins' or 'Elemental'.
This isn't to say that those aren't valid directions for you to take, but they're not why I'm here.
Here's what I want:
I want you to tell me why I (not a gamer) should give you my business (and my money).
I want you to tell me that you're still commited to giving me the software and tools to allow me to customize my desktop (up to, and even beyond, whatever may change with Windows 8, and so on).
I originally came to you and gave you my business specifically because of what OD offered (WindowBlinds, etc.). If you want me to continue to give you my business, you're going to have to keep updating OD, and so on (it appears that you may have that as a plan, and, if so, that's good).
Though I'm not a gamer, I don't begrudge the games. It's clearly a valuable avenue for you to work with.
I just don't want what I originally came to Stardock to get (desktop customization), to get lost in the shuffle.
