Hello. I have interest in purchasing galactic civilizations. however, I find that the price of buying a new copy+expansions, even in a set, is rather exorbitant (do not tell me it's worth the price. I've played this game before, it's years old, and it's not worth 60$. Space Empires V I bought for 15$, and it's way better than this game; I don't need some fanboy telling me it's worth the money).
So, I look to buy used. I would like to ask, how would that work? With impulse, can you recycle a key? How likely am I to come across an unpatchable dud? What are my prospects for purchasing a used edition of the game?
Also, any word if this game will ever be available on steam? I find steam quite convenient, and, let's be honest, it's not at all different than impulse. Maybe Stardock could own up to this so I won't have to have an account on yet another DRM medium. Steam is fine for me, I don't need to manage another online store account.
