My laptop is a dell studio it's 6 months old. This afternoon I plug it in to charge it because my battery is at 5% and my battery light instead of being white as usual it's now blicking red (low) and white. The status screen says my laptop is plugged but it's not charging. I tried a few different outlets and I get the same thing.
Anybody have any idea?
Thanks
Is your power pack warm after plugging it into the wall socket (you may have to wait awile). If not, you'll have to replace it. It could be the jack it plugs into, if it gets warm.
Good luck.
callibrate your battery and it will work fine, here is the solution-
open windows help and support, select power and battery and there you should see how to callibrate your battery.
You might also want to ask yrag if amitsaran didn't solve the problem. Amitsaran appears pretty knowledgable from his posts, Solam. There isn't anything yrag doesn't know about 'puters.
it works very well now.
Thanks for the input
Bad pun, Solam.
So was it the post about calibration that did it? Just wondering in case I have this issue in the future. On a related note, how do you like that Studio?
In all honnesty I do not know what happened. The light wetn from flashing to being white as it usually is.
Maybe it was just to low and the battery did not register well. I do not know. Sorry
