well, personally, i don't see any reason why Gal.Civ.2 shouldn't have mp... when i read Frogboy's attitude towards mp, i think that the main reason for not having mp is balance issues, and while i can almost instantly name 10 and more things that would be totally unbalanced if mp should ever be implemented, i don't think balance is such a big deal... for eg. i've played Europa Universalis 3 in mp quite a bit, and hell knows it could be totally unbalanced, like one player playing with France and other player starting as say Tyrone (a province in Ireland)... put to Gal.Civ.2 terms its like one player starting with a race that can choose 3-4 super abilities and 2nd player starting with minor race... but even so, i didn't find mp in EU3 unplayable or bad and such, it was quite amusing..
also i couldn't categorize GC2 players as teenagers screaming noob and pwnzor and whatnot, actually i could describe them as adults acting like adults and eager to spend a couple of hours every weak playing something slow and relaxing.. as such, while i would expect a number of balancing issues complaints (if mp should ever be implemented) i don't see why Frogboy or someone else from Sdock couldn't just make a sticky saying simply "this game is not made for mp; the only reason why we've put it in is because you guys wanted it, its totally unbalanced, but if we wanted to make it more balanced we would need to start making most of the game from scratches (engine, meshes and such excluded), and frankly we don't have time or will to do so; basically this is it, enjoy it as it is, and if u cant go play the game as its meant to be played... ty, gl hf

"
that should probably make everyone happy, at least thats the case in my head
