I just installed Galactic Civilizations and seem to be unable to play movies correctly!
This doesn't interfere with the gameplay proper, so I muddled through and learned that.
However all movies hang at the first screen, not providing any updates: For instance, the Intro hangs and I can hear the music playing and the narrator talking. In the Tutorials all I see is the frozen first screen while the lady explains without demonstration. In the campaign it's the same and severely detracts from the story as I can't see anything happening. When investigating an Anomaly for the first time, building a colony, beating the game, it's always the same. First screen shows clearly, and doesn't move, while music plays just fine.
Any solutions?
