At this point it is way too early to tell how long Elemental will hold my interest, mainly because Civ V is right around the corner. But even if I stop playing when Civ V comes out I know if I go back 6 months latter the game will have alot of new stuff to play with.
Ditto! I'm really looking forward to Civ V. I hope my expectations aren't too high for that game. For the next few months it's going to be tough ch
Stop reading the forums (avoid the negativity) and download the game on the 24th with the day 0 patch. But yeah, I get what you're saying. As others have said, it's a very subjective question to answer. I'm a bit on the fence at the moment. I really like what I've seen and if I had the resolve to wait for another month or two, I would do it. But I'm weak and I'll be playing it again tonight. I really need to stop reading the forum posts because had it n
Chain lightning is deliciously good! I don't think it was more than 2-3 levels off either.
I agree user created maps are not a fix for not having random maps, but it should help give the game more life over time if we get an active community of map creators. Sure some of them will be a little basic or plain odd, but I am sure there will be some high quality generic maps too.
If there is a ranking system for maps and you could select them from a web page and later automatically import them into your game with a
Checking the website every 30min. to an hour to see if they changed their minds and are going to let us start downloading early.
+1 Waiting for a surprise early release. I know realistically, we won't see it before late Sunday (prove me wrong!!). However once I resign myself to that fact and stop checking, I have a feeling I'll come back Sunday night to find out it was released earlier. I know after Monday, it won't ma
Well I do agree that the law regarding 18 isn't right. There needs to be something that allows someone say up to age 20 to be able to have a sexual relationship with someone 2 years younger than them. I mean there needs to be some common sense and recognize that kids are going to have relationships with other kids who are a couple years younger/older than them. So why not write in that consideration?
Here I thought this was going to be a discussion about the iMaxi. The iMaxi Is A Disturbingly Appropriate iPad Case http://consumerist.com/2010/02/the-imaxi-is-a-disturbingly-appropriate-ipad-case.html
Definitely SP. Only games I play nowadays as MP are MMOs. Otherwise I game alone. Yeah, I miss the banter of an MMO but if I'm playing something like this I want to do it at my pace, my own speed... not feeling rushed or restricted to someone else's schedule.
If only she had kept her mouth shut... I don't know, I have a feeling there might be more to this story than what's been told. While it's possible that she may indeed be wracked by guilt, I have to think there's more. Is it possible that someone was trying to blackmail her about what happened and by her coming forward she was able to end it? A couple of places I read that her husband is a member of the Burbank Police Dept.
Oops, double post.
The offering looks fantastic. I think I'd buy it so that my boys could experience the coolness factor of what game packaging used to be like (referring to the Ultima games). [e classic]:hot:[/e]
What's the size of the dragon? The picture makes it look quite large, but the rook we got with Demigod was tiny.
This. Another picture with an object to provide reference as to it's size would be appreciated.
Used it the other day. Very nice system! Only thing I didn't realize until I re-read the email was that it wasn't available for pre-ordering Elemental. No biggie, I figured it out and split up my order. Just means I have an excuse to buy something else at some point. ;)
Don't be so modest, Wintersong! That's awesome what you've done. [e digicons][/e] Keep up the good work.
I was getting ready to order Sins of a Solar Empire: Diplomacy & pre-order Elemental: War of Magic. I forgot about the latter being in development until I saw the article on Gamespot. The article caught my attention and I have to say it's looking really good! Elemental: War of Magic Updated Q&A - Progress Report and Improvements Over GalCiv Anyways,
On the front page of Impulse, when you click on the list of coming soon games, it displays the release date as 4/4/2009? Such a tease.
Wow... I just opened up my saved games folder and my current games goes from 27MB to 48.9MB. I have one from the other day that's 88.6MB. :o Luckily I had turned off the auto save feature for awhile otherwise I'd hate to see what I would have had sitting in there. I had turned it off because of the time it was taking to save the game each time.
anyway... there is a button on the lower UI bar, that is orange, it is useless right now, but soon will do amazing things..... like naming stuff! Will I be able to use it to generate the winning lottery ticket numbers?
I don't remember names very well either. I use the infocards very often. I love the fact that you can left and right click on the cards on the lower left to cycle forwards and backwards between entries that are displayed on the right. Inbound attackers - I'll click if I'm unsure of the system it's headed to (composition of the defense) and to see what I'm being attacked with. Capital ship xp level gained - All the time! I may have multiple battles taking place and/
It was midnight today, but we just closed it now (cause we weren't awake at midnight). *GASP* Do you mean to tell us that you don't have people working on this game 24/7/365? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Tongue.gif" border=0
If it would go my way, this message box would be disabled anyway, I couldn't care less for it. You'll want that message box if you're playing multiplayer to see other player's messages. Unless you don't want to speak with anyone ever.
MMO's have had to deal with this in regards to their chat windows. They allow users to adjust the transparency, dimensions, whether or not the chat window can be clicked through, etc. I have experienced what the OP posted about. It is annoying when it happens. The first time it happened, I was surprised to find out those messages could be scrolled with the mouse. Not seeing an outline of a message box w/ a scroll bar, I had figured they were just there and not something I co
I think its fitting , as the gravity well is quite large... I know. I wouldn't change it either.
I'll happily accept the sacrifice of aesthetics to keep my zoom-to-cursor. It's an option to mod it, so people who want the feature can turn it on. Sounds good to me.
It'll be around end of summer. What's your definition of the "end of summer"? a) Kids are back to school? b) Labor Day? c) The Autumnal Equinox? d) Southern Hemisphere end of summer?
