Good news, I've just slipped this feature in It was already enablable via the ini file but now it has a spot in the Advanced Options dialog. Tabbed docks now have the ability to, when they're autohidden and showing themselves via mouse activation, automatically switch the active tab to whatever your mouse was over. -Jeff Bargmann ObjectDock Developer

Hi Jimer: Did you have your dock's alignment changed to left or right? (And if so, which?) At any rate, I believe I've fixed your problem if that was the case ; found some problem with the new zooming algorithm when the alignment wasn't centered. Should be all fine now with the new beta we're hoping to release today or tomorrow. When the new one comes let me know how it goes Thanks <
Hi hotrod11: I've adjusted the code for the next version so that if it is indeed docked to an edge, it'll only show the flyout menu on the opposing side. So if its docked on the right, it'll only fly out to the left no matter where it is, etc. Hope this works for you! Best Regards, -Jeff Bargmann ObjectDock Developer
Thomas, Just to keep you up to date we're aware of your problem and haven't fotten about it, just haven't gotten a chance to take a closer look at it. I hope to be back on ObjectDock detail soon! Hope you're getting good use out of ObjectDock in the meantime -Jeff ObjectDock Developer
Yikes Clyde, Crashing....that's no good. Have you tried disabling your docklets? The MSN one (not written by us, hopefully soon to be replaced by one that *is*) is particularly flakey.
Hey everyone... Folder-linked tabs is indeed something we're considering putting into ObjectDock and have thought about in the past. While I cannot guarantee it will make it into the next release I can say that there is strong interest in implementing this ability! -Jeff ObjectDock Developer
In Vista? This should get a play
Wow! SO COOL! I can't wait for Apple to claim they invented it! hahahaha nice EDIT: uh oh, looks like they have ammo after all . <sigh><
Very cool! I've been imagining something of this nature for some time so I'm glad to see that research is happening in this very important and high-potential research area. I can see they have some very creative innovations in play in here, I'm incredibly impressed with how they’ve been able to apply the metaphor in what they’ve done so far. It looks **exceptionally** useful and high-potential in the area of photo-management, one of the only
Hrm. Looks very neat and the design is good, I had a very good first impression! Unfortunatly... after having it running for a few days, even with all the nice skins, the good feeling started to wear off as I recognized that it seemed more difficult to actually....well, tell what time it is, the original purpose of the 'clock area'. With all the numbers and images and etc jammed into that corner, instead of just a simple clock, I almost feel
Thanks for the help guys - Problem is fixed Was able to reproduce with the help. Sorry for the delay I was away from the project for a little while... problem is fixed for the next release thanks to your help -Jeff
Hi NK3, Hrm. Currently I can't think of anything that would be more effetive than the mentioned recommendation. I'll have to look a little more into if there's anything else that can be done to avoid these page faults. Thank you for bringing it up Best Regards, -Jeff Bargmann ObjectDock Developer
No luck yet for explorer/iexplorer disappearing. Known bug for most all VWM products available...IE chooses to "recycle" its windows when they're hidden. I recommend trying "Mode 2" if it cases significant problem for you. The Excel problem, however, has been fixed. Was able to figure a way around it that won't negitivly effect anything else. As for 'Retrieve All Windows' vs. 'Recover Lost Windows', same object, different effect. Recover lost windows may do funky things li
Hey guys. The skin editor was refreshed for .NET v2.0' final release to go along with ObjectBar/RightClick's most recent releases...dont know why it didn't make it out the door with it. I just sent the files over to be published. Our apologies for the delay -Jeff
NK3: ObjectDock does a lot of paging of unused memory to the disk when inactive. The reason it does this is for memory savings, since managing all those 256x256/128x128 4-channel icons and bitmaps can get memory intensive. There is a setting for this in the most recent version that should help with this, check the Advanced settings in v1.3 for the ability to have ObjectDock be "optimized for speed" instead of "optimized for memory". -Jeff<br
