I had a similar situation where at a certain point in the game I had to abandon it , because the screen was locked on one sector and could not be moved neither by mouse nor other means.

I have a different bug which has persisted in the Beta 3 release and patch: After colonizing a planet I get 3 choices one evil, which gives biggest bonus ,in this case starship bonus, one good, and one neutral. There is no method to choose between them. The mouse pointer does not do the job. So I am stuck there and have to alt esc and then close the game.

Whenever I get a screen for choosing good or evil to get money or starship bonuses The system freezes . I assume you click the mouse on one of ththree choices, but absolutely nothing happens when I do that. This has happened 3 times , once in each of the three games I have played. I have to control-esc and close the game each time. It is very frustrating, since this was supposed to be a stable beta.

Well I guess the beta will be released by Tuesday evening ,since the 14th of June is the end of the second week of June. It was promised during the second week of June. I will be anxiously racing home Monday and Tuesday anticipating the download and playing the exciting beta release.

I understand what your saying but my quote of Brad was from the beginning of May. There should not have been a 2-3 week slippage in that short period of time. I think, more likekly, that he made his estimate off the cuff. Could have been a long day and he wasn't entirely focused. It happens to the best.

Yes , when the cats away the mice do play. Two week slippage in the "May" beta. Please do me a favor. Don't in the future say a beta release will be available by a certain time. It builds up expectations. When it doesn't come, like this 2 week delay, it really causes a big let down.

I see the statement dated May 1 by frogboy (Brad Wardell) that the second beta was to be released right after we get back from E3. That would have been Monday May 24. So why are we having to wait an additional two weeks??? I find accuracy in statements to be important in keeping credibility.

Yes OS/2 is currently alive as EcomStation v 1.2 . It has continued to develop device drivers and and eliminate bugs in the installation routines. The FireFox and Mozilla browsers and Thiunderbird email programs continue to be developed for os/2. The TCP/Ip code is far superior to windows. I receive doube the throughput onmy cable modem in EcomStation than I do through Windows XP professional.

This beta is FAR from stable. I do NOT know what world you are living in. You crash for a million and one reasons. You can;t colonize a third planet because the colony vessels disappear . You can't keep track of your technology progress or allocate resources.
