I am at the end of my game and I am about to win a Prestige Victory. Therefore, this is the last post in this series. Here is a save file that you can use to see what I am talking about: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/x722lulpolkbmus6a8qze/Save-Issue-7-Under-2.4.578621.GC4Sav?rlkey=99ttl9bcox20xrt1f89mkro8i&dl=0 Afte

There are few issues related to beam and missile volley attacks. I have included a link to a save file that you can use to recreate all of these issues: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/u0xrsvp2hzv5s3s22fbk2/Save-Issue-6-Under-2.4.578621.GC4Sav?rlkey=ra1a5kh43ne11szhrt1iex6a6&dl=0 The issues are: You get differe

The first screen snapshot, below, shows a dialog that comes up after surveying an anomaly. When you click on the button to close the dialog, you can search 'til the cows come home, but you will not find this new planet. However, if you save the game then reload it, the new planet will appear. The second screen snapshot below shows the area around Prima Hyadum after closing the dialog. Note that there are not any habitable planets there. However, it you save the game,

For some reason, the game allows ships and/or fleets from different civilizations to occupy a subspace gate. Also, if you are not at war with all of the civs that have ships on the subspace gate, you will not be able to attack the ships on the subspace gate with which you are at war. You can perform missile and beam attacks on an enemy ship if you move it to the top of the stack, but you will not be able to directly attack it with you ships. Here is a link to a game save t

I am now at turn 49 and, using my modified Stargazer probes, I have explored the edges of all of the sectors. The universe looks like the first screen snapshot below. I own the sector on the left and my 3 opponents each own a sector to the right and no civ owns the top sector, although I have exclusive access to it and am developing it. My sector has 2 subspace gates on the right-hand side - the "top" one and the "bottom" one. When I zoom in on the bottom subspace ga

After starting the new game, I immediately opened the shipyard associated with my home world. As shown in the first screen snapshot, there are a number of ships available to build that should not be there. Each of the "extra" ships that I can build is based on a specialty ship (Prospector, Raptor, etc.). In a previous game, I created modified versions of the specialty ships and those modified ships are now immediately available for me to build. This raises a number of

Right after starting a new game, I wanted to create a save file. I started to give it the name shown in the first screen snapshot below, but instead of saying "This Is An Example" I wanted to change it to say "This is A Very Good Example". To make the change, I positioned my cursor between the "A" and the "n" as shown in the second screen snapshot. I then hit the "Delete" key to remove the "n" and then tried to enter a space and then type "Very Good". However, the spac

Now that version 2.4.578621 has been the Insider's Edition for awhile, I thought it would be a good time to make a series of posts that show some of the things that I believe still need some work. I have posted some of these issues before but, for completeness, I will be posting them again as I run into them. I am starting a new game with a custom civilization. The first 3 screen snapshots below show the settings I chose for my custom civ. on each of the 3 tabs. Th

StuffyDoll, Thank you for pointing that event out. I do recall accepting that offer. If the team is considering adding hover text to the approval items, I would suggest the following for Observation Post: "You gave the Yor permission to setup an observation post on [planet name] . This penalty will continue for NN more months."

[/quote] To test this I put a leader with the Grammar Enforcer trait in the position of governor of a core world. As shown below, the citizens did not get an approval penalty labeled "Grammar Enforcer". Since the description of the Grammar Enforcer trait uses the phrase "Has been known ..." could it be that there is a probability of a penalty that is less than 1

When you hover over the lower-lefthand part of a citizen, you get a popup like the one shown below that shows the factors that go into the Approval number. You can also hold down the Shift key to lock the popup in place so that you can move your cursor over each of the items in the popup. However, there is no additional information available via a hover popup that would be helpful to the player in determining what he can to do improve a citizens approval. Specifically, eve

Please correct whichever one is wrong.

The screen snapshot below shows the right-hand side of the first screen you see when generating a new civilization. Notice that there are 3 items that are all labeled "Civilization Description". I would suggest changing the first one to "Civilization Name", and the second one to "Short Civilization Name". The third one is fine since that is actually where the civilization description goes. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/64/79/6479257/90d260cd-5c7e-4224-b096

Either I do not understand how military starbases defend themselves or combat involving a military starbase is not working as expected. The first screen snapshot below shows the battle report for when an Intueri Aggregate fleet attacked my military starbase. As you can see, my starbase was destroyed with beam weapons and my starbase did not evade, absorb, or mitigate any of the attacks. The second screen snapshot shows the Combat Rating report for my starbase. As y

I think I ran into this when I was NOT playing as the Xeloxi. Then I played AS the Xeloxi and found that the Xeloxi have an option to commandeer a pirate fleet. If someone (usually an AI civ) attacks the anomaly and is defeated, the remaining defending pirate fleet becomes visible and is available to be commandeered.

I was designing a Dreadnaught when I noticed the following issue: Barrier Fields looks to be better than Advanced Barrier Fields (see the 2 screen snapshots below). You may want to have someone look at ALL of the ship improvements across ALL types of ships to make sure that each new item that is available after researching some technology is better than the previously available improvement. It doesn't make much sense to spend time researching a technology only to find that the

I suspect what is happening is that you have ships stationed at the starbase that have both missile and beam volley capabilities AND you have upgraded the starbase to also have beam and missile volley capabilities. The game is probably displaying the starbase capabilities separate from the ship capabilities. I say this because I also noticed this and experimented with removing the ships, hovering over the starbase, then putting the ships back and hovering again.
