here's a couple of questions for you. who here uses smartbuttons in windowblinds, or even knows what they are? also, does anyone actually use a vertical taskbar in windows xp? i'm never really sure whether it's worth spending the extra time on adding these things to my skins.
i'm currently trying to decide what my next skinning project will be. aside from a couple of cursorxp themes i've almost finished, and tweaking my two gui olympics skins, i'm debating whether to update my dinks windowblinds skin to version 4.0, with full xp additions and bug fixes. can anyone who'd like to see this please raise their hand?
i'm unemployed at the moment, so i tend to spend pretty much every waking hour online or skinning. most of my skins never even see the light of day though. by the way, if anyone in the uk owns a decent web design company and wants a new designer... call me.
the windowblinds theme is my metalX skin... an update to which is coming this week. still can't quite get over the feeling of seeing screenshots posted with my themes in them... the updates to desktopX look pretty interesting... i might just have to download that 4.5mb monster and give it a go.

i take it you are actually using windowblinds, as the others are assuming? or are you perhaps just using windows xp and want to change your start button colour? please explain exactly what you're trying to do here.

i actually don't mind people seeing my skins. i wouldn't have posted them on all the other community sites otherwise. remember that we can update out skins as much as we like anyway...
i also bought this thing called windows xp... quite possibly the largest install for a toy ever. lol
i've bought around 40 dvd movies over the past couple of years, and i don't even have a dvd player. trust me paxx, a dvd-rom drive is worth it for the movies alone.
and treetog really doesn't look like i imagined... i thought he'd have a moustache. lol

I have to admit that I find all this extremely worrying. The idea of forceably destroying a culture other than ours because we believe that it breeds fanaticism and acts of terrorism reminds me a little too much of Hitler's intended plan for the world. Taking away an entire culture and replacing it with our Western beliefs is hardly likely to make everything peachy again. Think of it this way; there are sects of terrorists in the US who can be thought to be a product of Western culture themselve
