Hi people! I was just surfing the site when I stumbled upon an IP called [I][B]Cryo64 Colossus[/B][/I] (I know that it's been around here for a while, but [I]I[/I] just discovered it) and thought that this pack was so cool that I would build a desktop around it. So before I go and slog through TONS of skins and wallpapers (why don't people add a color tag to their stuff? I too have an OD subscription, so using my colors really isn't going to benefit me very much because i already have the software foundation. However, there ARE some themes that i would like to have--most of which are not yet available. So will there be any way to perhaps download the themes as master themes. I don't mind paying for the theme, I just don't need all the additional software AND I'd still like to be able to do custom customizations by combining various elements in order to create

Standard fair (fare?) at our house this year. My son wanted a Wii, but I [i][b]refused[\b][\i] to pay more than retail for the thing, even though I want it just as much as he does. $600 or more for one?!? Come on!!! When I saw the info on Thinstall I thought this would be great if it could run WB virtually on other computers, even if it was only in a limited way. I hate having to look at XP's GUI all day long when I have such sweet stuff as Cyclops, Diamond, and Molten at home. And it's likely to be another 3 or 4 years before Vista shows up here at work. On the other hand, I agree about the problems/difficulty with activation/registration on multiple machines. Well a guy can dream.....

OK, I get what you're telling me, but if it's a portable version that installs nothing on the computer you're currently using, would that violate the terms of the EULA? Remember, everything is running off of the flash drive and goes with you when you eject the drive. My main reason for asking is because on the computer I use at work, the policy is--and I'm sure you can understand why since you all work in the IT field--that employees are prohibited from installing any software on count

I've begun to try out Linux, and was wondering how many of you out there are using it, do you like it, how are you using it? As a dual boot, primary OS or just occasionally? I'd love to cross over from Micro$oft, but two things keep me tied to the Evil Empire, first and foremost is Stardock and all the goodies that they have and second are the games that I have purchased for my son to play. If not for those two things I'd make the jump in a hot second.

Actually, your LCARS theme is one of the best ones that I've seen. Others were really nice, but seemed to be lacking in one way or another. I think that this comes closest to matching what a WindowBlinds designed by Michael Okuda might look like. You're off to a great start. Go on and finish it.

This is really directed towards Brad and/or the developers of WindowBlinds, IconPackager, CursorXP and ObjectDock. It's two related questions. I was wondering if: 1) There are any plans to eventually, someday, maybe port the above mentioned proggies to the various Linux (is it Lyn-nux or Lin-nux?) distros. Because if just those four programs worked on Linux, I'd drop Microsoft's bloated OS's faster than you can say, "BSOD"!! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles

Those sound like some great ideas, and I agree as well that the flyouts could use a little tweaking when it comes to large amounts of folders or files. Seems like it kinda bogs down when opening a large folder. I sure hope Stock will take some of the suggestions and implement them to make the programs EVEN BETTER than they already are.

Single tabbed docks? SINGLE TABBED DOCKS!?! BRILLIANT!!! You know, it never occurred to me to try and use a single tab as a dock. That is just major badness, Island Dog! But that's one of the things that makes Stardock's software so great. The flexibility that it gives you. Great article!

Admittedly, I have never tried any of the other programs listed, but what's wrong with the Gimp? It seems like a good program to me, it's free, and it's relatively easy to use. It seems like it does a good job to me.
