If you just read it, it'll make a lot more sense; esp. if its where it's supp. to be in the file. InitializeMovementTowardsSpawner basically causes movement of ships towards the spawning parent. so shit, I can't cut and paste with this... hmm.

InitializeMovementTowardsSpawner (buffInstantActionType) used for easy-peasy negative force black-hole kirby type stuff. Destro, I think your best option is to read the tutorials and make sure that when you read the .txt files you make 'em large enough so they're easy to read; it helps. You should also be more specific to make answers more precise; what do you need dumbed down?
Well, I smoked (quite,) a bit first. You'd be amazed at what you can come up with when the mind wanders. But on second thought, you'd better include the finishCondition "OutOfRange" 'cause it may maaayyyy just create a mini-dump otherwise. lol. The mind wandering isn't always a good thing I guess. I guess I'd better add this to the list of shtuff they've got on the lists... kinda missing isn't it? Oh well.
yeah, those finish conditions worked fine. Here's what I got so far (it works, but I'm going to keep messing around with it until I'm satisfied or forget about it.) TXT entityType "Buff" onReapplyDuplicateType "PrioritizeOldBuffs" buffStackingLimitType "ForAllPlayers" stackingLimit 1 allowFirstSpawnerToStack FALSE buffExclusivityForAIType "ExclusiveForAllPlayers" isInterruptable FALSE isChannelling FALSE numInstantActions 3 instantActi
thanks for the advice, negative force works, or at least it has for me before; but that was with reg. old sins. I thought the finish conditions were ok; its the same as the original file, should I change them when the ability goes off, all the other functions of it work, just not the kirby part. The force should be enough, positive force didn't work either, tried that earlier which is why I think that the entityboolmodifiers might be messing things up. lol, sorry about that I
yeah, ogrovs are kinda the killjoy to the equation. So are SC. But I think I actually lucked out with that example; I was in the proc. of upgrading the thing when he attacked me. I gotta say though, the gnarliest thing I've ran into is a vasari SB w/ repair bays supporting it... something is wrong with the coding so the 15hps boost cancels out all (most, lol, see thats the thing about talking through typing; its so easy to mis-communicate, lol) incoming damage. Ok, so it cancels out about 98%
Major props to anyone who can give me a hand with this!
This is the code I have, thought it should work; but I'm not as clever as I thought I was. So could I please get some help on this? I think it might have to do with the "ApplyForceFromSpawner" action type idk. Or maybe 'cause the engines are disabled any type of motion is disabled? (that isn't the random motion, which I took out.) TXT entityType "Buff" onReapplyDuplicateType "PrioritizeOldBuffs" buffStackingLimitType "ForAllPlayers" st
I dunno, I've been trying yalls' advice about forgoing most defensive structures... and it just doesn't seem to work; having a fleet is needed, don't get me wrong, but the ability to neutralize an enemy fleet w/ a defensive (advent,) fleet supported by an early starbase is much more of a sure bet. and here is one example: I was playing a game on a single star map (yuck,) on fast settings w/ out pirate raids (gross,) and the player that spawned next to me expanded ala th
Either that or your daddies wear lipstick... bloody lumberjacks.
you could use culture... (if you have about a week or so)
Ancient Japanese saying goes as such: "When your enemy is in an impenetrable defensive location, be sure he stays there." Just a word of (obvious yet fishy,) advice, any defensive advent player worth their salt will be unbeatable when in the same system as one of their starbases... assuming the starbase has that disable sub-light engine ability, you're basically sticking your prick in a meat-grinder by trying any "straight-up" attack. God forbid they have that AND meteor control.
I guess I've just been reading too much Machiavelli. Yeah, 3d sins w/ out phaselanes would be the dogs bollocks, no doubt about that.
All the ladies DO love me! Its just that alot of 'em are your moms....
"Community" may be a bit of a strong word to use...
Yes. Yes it does. Kinda unfair, isn't it?
multistars are the judge of a true player.
just 'cause your head is too far up your ass to learn and experiment doesn't mean that they're abusing it. Really, I'm having to really wonder and scratch my head at all of you americans; you do realize there's a reason pride is such a bad thing?
just unplug his computer. Instant win.
pWahahAha! Bummer!
just attack it from the damn things blind spots. Most people don't even bother giving the damn things metaphorical "glasses".
lol. It does seem like you're pretty screwed if you don't kill off the advent asap.
Raising the production costs for everything as you research fleet supply seems to work in terms of eliminating spam.
Just play with mods, the Mad Scientist Mod 2.5 is a good place to start and its SO much more satisfying!
Use your friends list if you want to use mods; add players that are willing to play with mods. You can add me if you like, I usually host at least one modded game a week, my username is An Teachtaire.
