If you can remove the survey module from that ship you designed
I can't even find that ship anymore in the ship designer. What with my starting survey ship, my commander flag ships, and additional ships made flag ships by the vault artifacts, I have plenty of ships capable of surveying. I just want to get that unbuildable ship out of the list of ships at my shipyards.
If you obsolete the survey ship (flag ship), you're never getting it back. Its a flaw in the ship management system. You can't unobsolete designs. Obsoleting default designs ships caused problems for a player a while back (in base game I believe) when a player obsoleted the default colony ship, but the game relied on that design for the colony ship executive order. It broke the game if I recall correctly.
S

Whenever I play GC4 Supernova I see this Flag Ship design show up in my ship yards, but it's not build-able and I can't select it and use the button to obsolete it. I participated in the beta for GC4 on Epic over a year ago, and at some point players were able to design and build their own flag ships, so I'm pretty sure I did that. Since the original version on Epic and Supernova

I heartily agree with wanting more visibility on Culture points.
Also, 96% approval seems to be a limit, until later when you can eke out 97% on a few worlds. Not a big problem for me, but it seems curious.
96% does seem to be a cap, but I've gotten up to 100% on planets that I've invaded, so perhaps it isn't a cap for the AI (other than the Yor).

Did you just capture an enemy capital? There's a cultural trait the AI might have that causes all players to declare war on you in that case.
First, I think a button or key to switch off the background for a flat color, so as make small things more visible. The current background is pretty, but it also tends to camoflage anything on the screen. (If there is such a built in capability and I missed it, well, I apologize)
If you're talking about the very bright background nebulas, there is already a setting for that, Nebula Opacity: <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/3/68/368410/17bfff3d-36ce-4
The question is what is an orbital prison on a colony world supposed to do? Is it supposed to only reduce crime on the colony world? Is crime on a colony world something the player needs to worry about? Does it have any effect on the game?
It's been a few weeks since I've been able to play, so this may have changed, but I believe it accurately describes what the original poster was talking about. Crime on colony wor

Yes, it's on the manage planets window. It appears in the "Available Projects" list. And my mistake, it's now on the lower right. Unless it's been changed recently it should appear on all your core planets until you scan enough of them, then it will disappear.
No effect.
Strange. The keys 1 to 5 along the top row of the keyboard are supposed to adjust the viewing angle of the map, with 5 being the closest to a top down view.
Please include an option for a top down map view as distinct from the default tilted/perspective view ?
Have you tried hitting the number key 5 (on the top row)? That gives you a view that's pretty close to top down. It's how I play.
I need a new series.
Have you read Gene Wolfe? I really enjoyed his Book of the New Sun series, the Book of the Long Sun series, The Book of the Short Sun series, and The Soldier series.
Seems like some of the 'chieves aren't working. I've definitely had a ship reach 5th level, and I've played for more than 100 hours, for example. Also "discover a nebula", "hyperspace", "complete a minor civ quest", "recruit a leader" and probably several more.
I've been documenting these achievements that don't work since the base game went live on Epic, but so far none of them have been fixed. Take a look

As I understand it, from what Brad Wardell has said here on the forums and in the Discord chat, yes, the art is generated by AI, but the AI they are using is trained only the art produced by Stardock artists, in order to avoid any copyright claims. In the months since Supernova was released I've noticed the variety of portraits produced has improved, and I hope it will continue to do so.
Is there a way to see when my treaties are going to expire with the various civs? If so I haven't located it. Nice to have?
I would really like to see this. As far as I know, the way it is now, you have to carefully watch the notifications and/or periodically check the other civ's opinion of you (at least for open borders).
