Yeah, but Netscape comes with AOL garbage. I recommend Mozilla because it IS netscape (the open-source engine behind it) but it doesn't have that crap. www.mozilla.org

Windows 98, for many people, provides far superior performance than XP would (we've all read/heard the XP horror stories...) so I can understand why people wouldn't upgrade. There's the money issue. However, I don't see why you can't just give some warnings like "win2k+ recommended" etc... That'd probably stop the comments about it running funny on 98 as they'd know it wasn't made for it. Eventually developers are going to have to stop supporting old versions of windows altogether, but
Doh! Sorry^1000! For a year, gotcha I'm still trying to decide whether or not to buy it... I want the advanced features, but I'm a cheap bastard. lol
Ok ok, this may not be the right place to ask, but if I buy this "ODNT" for 50 bucks, does that entitle me to the updates of the apps until they reach another version, or until they reach the same x.z version as it was at when I bought it. By this I mean: If I bought ODNT now, would I get windowBlinds 4.4 for free, or only 3.9 or 4? Do I get 10 updates "free" or just up to the next major version release?
On the site's that I build (in PHP) I use GZip output compression. It envolves putting 1 line in an .htaccess file (Apache only, I believe) and makes it so that instead of a person receiving the actual size of the page (in my case 40kb, usually) they receive a page that has been compressed (a smidge under 6kb) which saves me a lot on bandwidth usage I don't get enough traffic to see if it slows the servers
I wonder how Linux likes them... Maybe it's time the world started using linux
Cool. But where do I get my affiliate ID? Or is that just a field I can make up? Forgive me if this is painfully obvious
Those bastards. Don't they realise that people with cable are the ones who frequently download huge files? That's usually why people get cable! They're prolly going to switch it back to normal if we all boycott cable for a month or so
I like Moz, but I don't like: The splash screen (it's both ugly AND annoying!) The fact that I can't select images on HTML pages! Why only text? WHY?! The fact that I can't use Hotmail as my mail client, and UltraEdit as my source viewer. That is all IE loads quickly, renders all pages nicely (unless they're seriously fubar, which can only be blamed on the drunken
Nice! I want the 2100+ and winXP pro I plan on building my own computer right before university. Things should be quite a bit faster by then
Actually linux can run most windows apps using wine (windows emulator). So no worries about that It also has koffice (.org) which seems to be very functional.
I notice they left that seizure-inducing advertisement at the bottom of each page... Any preference to change that? Really annoying.
Wooohooo! It''s super fast now! Great job. Very functional site. *runs off to play with features some more*
Neato! Just wondering, but if it is going to be significantly faster, than you must be running Linux with PHP and the Zend enhancer, eh? Surely the fact that the current site is ASP is holding you back. But, as long as it's faster than who really cares! Whoopee! hehe
Friggin' tight! I love this thing! My desktop is now all-out XP thanks to this and WB3.3 *drool*
Ok, I installed it and tried a default skin, and it gets rid of my MSN popup alert thingy in the bottom right. You know when you get email or whatever? Then it makes a sound and pops up that thing that sais "*Username* is online." and when you click it you can send them a message? Well anyway, it's gone Anyone have this problem before? I'm on Win2k (NT 5, NOT ME), if that helps. Tha
Oh, and you can install win2k without being in DOS. Just pop the CD in and click "yes" to the "Do you want to install win2k?" prompt.
Well then. Just restart you comp and hold down CTRL or both of them. It may be the shift keys, too. Well, try them both. You'll get prompted to choose a way to continue. You can also try pressing "DEL" to enter setup which will also let you abort and enter DOS. Good luck. Get WINDOWS 2000!!!
Here's a thought: get rid of ME and get win2k!! ME is the worst OS to leave the MS building! Win2k on the other hand is their best by far. XP is just littlered with crap.
Alrighty. Good idea craeonics. I'll go do that. I don't search for long before I give up. Unless it's for school And I searched for about 30 minutes afterwards
Anyone? I hate to be a bother, but i've searched around for like 10 minutes and found nothing (in english). Thanks to anyone who can help!
Thanks! Does anyone know where I can get some plugins/addons for Bryce 5? I would like to try some more shapes and atmospheres, but i've had no luck finding anything. Thanks
What's Eon's website? I've been to actionxchange.com, but there weren't any decent water actions for Photoshop 6. I'd like to try that Vue, though. Thanks. SYP}{ER
Hey all. I've seen a ton of wallpapers lately with one thing in common: they all have water, and it's damn cool, too. How can I make water like y'all? Is there a mini-prog that will do it for me? Thanks
Try this link to test you connection speed to and from the servers: http://bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/ I use it a lot and get around 150kb/sec to 200 on my cable.
