I don't really like the idea of it substituting gold either, as gold is a very major commodity in determining the outcome of the game. It's just as bad as being able to convert favor points straight into experience in a match.
Primal Zed
I played WoW for a very long time (started Spring of '05). I didn't really PvP much (but then, the original game wasn't designed with PvP as a core aspect of the game), and I was only an on-again, off-again casual raider, but I still had fun in WoW for many many years. During the last couple years of my play, I frequented the Suggestions forum. Even in light of the near constant griping in that forum, I maintain a respect for Blizzard and the game they created.
I don't think "being professional" is necessarily synonymous with the internet gaming term "pro." From my point of view, a "pro" is simply someone who is very good at the game, while the term "professional" as it was used in the OP refers to following a line of conduct.
Download Impulse, open it up, log in, and click on the 'My Games' tab. You will be able to download your purchased copy of Demigod there.
I am posting right now in Chrome. Line breaks in my post don't carry into the actual post, and there are none of aforementioned buttons, nor is there rich text font options. The OS on my new computer is 64 bit. Might that have something to do with it?
I'm seeing 19 on him right now (Demigod forums)
I have a fairly new (week or so) computer running an OEM Vista Ultimate. I installed Google Chrome, but when using this browser, there are a number of features outright missing from this forum. I am aware that there is a problem with the 'Quote' button not working properly in Chrome, but for me this button and several others are simply not there. This includes the Reply, Edit, RSS, and Create Post (for making a new thread) buttons. Am I missing some update of an
Since there are OS discussions here often enough, I wanted to share this article: http://reviews.cnet.com/windows/microsoft-windows-7-professional/4505-3672_7-33704140.html I found this particular quote helpful because it addresses a very common criticism of Windows 7:
Although the look of Windows 7 may seem to be nothing more than some polish applied liberal
Depends on how much you want to win I guess. Some people like to eke out every advantage.
My point is that since it's a favor dump, you simply can't get a high-level blessing every single match. Which means you have to somehow determine which matches to get a blessing in. It'll also suck if everyone on the opposing team happens to decide to get a blessing that round and you and your teammates either don't have the favor or don't realize until you're already losing by a signific
If anything other than HP stacking was viable you would see people take dps builds, speed builds, builds that gimp one character while pumping all gold into another (eg fast bracelet), minion builds, disable builds...
You took that line out of the rest of my post. To win the game, you still want to "pummel down the towers," as the OP put it, regardless of what build you might have. The only difference might be you wait for creep to do it for you. I don't disagree that HP ite
it's still the weekend
Glad to hear there are new players. Hope you have fun and enjoy your stay :)
ah, ok then
That's a shame. I really can't deal with the fact that there's an advantage the other players will have against me totally besides the skill difference. If the game goes on sale I'm sure the player base will boom and I'll try coming over then.
They reset favor with the previous major patch, and will likely do so again with the upcoming major patch (which should be sometime in August).
I'm not sure what other tactics you can expect. Yes, there is a heavy reliance on tank gear in this game, but no matter what kind of gear you get the goal is still "take down enemy towers until you can steal their flags and take down their citadel." If people got good DPS gear, it would be "Kill the tower real quick and stroll off laughing" rather than "tank the tower for a minute til it finally dies and stroll off laughing." I don't see how the former would be preferred to the latter. Las
I know it only shows up as a vaguely blue spot on low graphics settings, instead of the really obvious lightning swirls. Also, like Dark River said, if you're zoomed out enough it doesn't show. I've never seen a time when someone is teleporting and there is no indication when zoomed in properly, though.
You can change your account name. Mine used to be Primalzed.
Just don't pick or play on that map, or don't allow the small DG's. Case solved.
Hardly. Running away from a bug does not mean the bug is fixed. I happen to like Exile very much (and very rarely see people use the crystal exploit).
I'm curious as to whether anyone is aware of whether favor points transfer from the demo into retail or if they are reset.
The favor points are tracked separately for the demo and retail. I got the demo to played a game and try to encourage people to get the retail, and I didn't have any favor points in the demo.
Someone said it's because of the demo
I don't know about that. Correlation does not mean causation. Stardock is aware of the situation so let's just hope it's fixed soon. In the mean time, I've had to leave/rejoin a couple games to avoid the proxy woes.
On maps where the only crystals are at the citadel, there is no reason to have this. On maps like Exile where there are crystals in the middle, this makes those crystals (an already very powerful flag when fighting in the middle) even more significant.
Sorry to call you out, but I believe you are the Jefedesign who couldn't get along with his teammates, so decided to purposely suicide the rest of the game costing his team the loss. Don't feel sorry for you at all.
Just like people said to Jefedesign, provide a screenshot or it didn't happen.
EDIT: wow both times I have qft here its broken the forum... luckily this time its only the quoting part
It's cuz ShakeNBake's name has square brackets in it, and the parser gets confused.
I really don't like the light vs dark aspect of it. I mean, no matter their background, they are all fighting each other for the exact same goal: to become the next god by beating all of their half siblings. Nothing but temporary alliances make sense, since there can be only one new god and none of them are likely to agree to being the lackey.
Really? Not bad voice acting?
A lot of the voice acting & scripts are really corny, but I like that.
While it's not turn-based, I hear Demigod is pretty good.
