Zubaz, As long as I have the ear of a sysop, could I get you to look at these two problems, too? https://forums.wincustomize.com/343422 https://forums.wincustomize.com/343120
What version of Theme Manager are you running? Can you provide a link to the theme you are trying to use?
Here you go... Theme Manager 3.00.057 on Windows XP Pro SP3 Airlock Suite https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=433&libid=22
I'm finding that what you say is true, but when I use Theme Manager to apply a suite containing an XP Cursor when I have FX installed, it refuses to apply it saying that I don't have Cursor XP installed. I think Stardock wrote backwards compatibility into Cursor FX but didn't get around to writing it into Theme Manager.
Oh and by the way, why did it take so long for you wizards at Stardock to come up with Fences? I've been using less than stellar solutions for years now, Fences is absolutely the best implementation for this concept I've come across!!!
I'll second that!
I set up the filters under the Desktop Tab in Impulse to divide up the applications into their various categories. Under the Object Desktop category, I find Windowblinds, Skinstudio, Icon Packager, SoundPackager, Deskscapes, and ThemeManager missing. Also, under the My Colors category, the free Themes do not show up.
Is there no-one out there who can help me with this?
Edit: Can both Cursor XP and FX be safely inistalled in the same instance of Windows XP?
The title says it all. Any suggestions as to how I can use Cursor XP files in Cursor FX would be most appreciated!
Yep. My cursor FX has the the same problem.
In all of the skins I have downloaded that have no skin defined system fonts defined, I am unable to add a new font so I can assign it to one of the sytem defined items. When I click the "Add new font" buttton, a blue bar with "System Font - 100" written on it momentarily appears and dissapears in the left half of the window. As this occurs one of the font categories on the right half of the window momentarily blinks. If I press the button again, it does the same thing, but then
Thanks Neil! I'll give that workaround a try. idigweeds
(Bump) Niel, Has your developement team been able to confirm my bug report? idigweeds
Neil, I should corrrect my post to read many (not most) of the older skins and a just a few (not some) of the newer ones are afffected by this bug. I am running Skindstudio-free 6.3 and Windowblinds-trial 6.3 on a Windows XP Pro SP3 based machine with all the latest updates. I have a 2.8 ghz AMD Athlon Dual Processor with 4gb RAM, nVidia 8500 x 2 (SLI) video cards, and 4 gb RAM with all current hardware driver updates. Skins I have found affected by bug: Ares
