"This is still a game about war, of course, so you won't be using Diplomacy to win a democratic sort of victory, but it does allow for lots of manipulation of both your allies and your enemies throughout the course of the game." :(

I honestly don't think the biggest gripe is lack of military additions. I think it's the exact opposite. The current diplomacy feature doesn't feel like it's changed gameplay much. It's still the same basic strategy "eliminate all other opponents through conquest". Diplomacy is only giving buffs instead of new strategic methods. We'll see when the new victory condition comes out.

Hey all, I was under the impression that in developer we could just drop any number of ships into a gravity well to test them out. I opened up developer though and it just runs like the original game. How do I use this tool effectively? Thanks,

I didn't think there was a way to fix it :( My MC's are still getting torn up. I had to call in the Super Caps to fight against the AI when I'm the Alliance. I think it might just be that the alliance requires more micro management, which I absolutely hate. I'll keep playing and see.

I've been playing as the Alliance. I'm not sure about one on one with the SD's, but in a group my MC's consistently get their butts whooped. Even against the Republic. It could just be I'm more outnumbered than I thought. Also, are smaller frigates useless? It seems like I should only build the top three cruisers. Everything else just gets obliterated. EDIT: I forgot to mention. On locked teams steam rolling the AI was pretty easy.

" victory condition options (i.e. only one player may win, two players, three, etc...) or something akin to Risk Mission cards where you have an objective thats hidden from the other players that you have to fulfill, creating the opportunity to go the diplomatic route or backstab to obtain those means." Those were the first two things that came to mind as I wrote my previous post.

Golems are really cool. The only reason I was asking about star bases is because I have a lot of neutral gravity wells in the games I play so it can be really hard to defend them without star bases. It's also difficult to create good trade routes. I hope there are a few star bases for each faction. At least two, a smaller star base that can be set up cheaply and quickly early on in the game, and then special projects that require a lot of research, resources and time (ie. Death Stars). <

I noticed when fighters/bombers attacked hangar defense platforms, they would only shoot at one odd location not attached to the mesh. Other ships would shoot it all over though. Not sure if that is fixable, or even worth fixing. I was wondering, could we have the capital ships and larger cruisers focus more on fleet enhancing passive abilities, and have small cruisers and all frigates have the more active abilities? Example: for CIS, instea

After the first beta they mentioned they'ed update so I was pretty excited, but after this update I'm wishing I didn't pre order. To me they are going in the wrong direction. Diplomacy isn't adding any great game changing mechanics. Just adding to the same types of gameplay. They really needed to add different victory conditions, and different ways of achieving victory. Instead they've just enhanced what's already there. 2 years after release, I want something gam
