I hate blogs... Or is this a twisted version of twitter?

I like the tech tree idea. [e digicons][/e] As for BioWare... I blame EA.

I read that it's been delayed for a bit. Sorry guys. I'm also desperate to get my hands on it.
You argue for "effort" as if it had some meaning to the end user. It seems some percieve that "effort" is a result in it's own right. The "effort" that Stardock puts into the game is entirely transparent to the end user. I am not in the slightest bit interested in the "effort" that I am continually told about. I am interested solely in result A game that works. Does not crash, and offers a modicum

As for thread-locking, if it's the one you're talking about, that topic has been discussed ad nauseam and everyone is getting tired of repeating the same old arguments. If someone doesn't find the g
Brad, I noticed that the "Elemental just isn't fun thread" was locked. I was wondering why it was locked. You seemed to take exception to Mx's post about patches not making Elemental fun despite us having heard this kind of claim since beta. I'm curious as to why. For the record, I support Mx's point. We have been hearing that Elemental will be fun and yet it still isn't. <p
From what I hear they're trying to address the "out of memory" issues in patch 1.2 which should be arriving soon.

And you had eleven days to say it too.
So what you're saying is, essentially, the game has not improved at all despite Stardocks efforts? Great...
Please don't play dumb... I find it redundant.
I'm not sure that'd make much sense seeing as the point of marrying children off in the first place is to strengthen ties and extend the family line. If there's really a call for such though then maybe they can have it so sovereigns may choose to marry a champion of any gender?
Focus on single-player is what I say. Screw my friends, I hate sharing.
Imo there is an overabundance of earth tones in Elemental, and it makes the game look kinda bland.
I like the brown! It sets an appropriately gritty tone and gives the world a certain earthy appeal. I know... that hurt me too.
I'm looking forward to global events.
I enjoyed GalCiv 2's events, especially the major ones which could turn the entire tide of a war. I hope they do add something like "mega" events, with an option to turn it off of course.
I wouldn't mind those changes either to be honest but I'd rather they addressed the AI first. It's the only thing which is wrecking most of my attempts at a fun game at the moment. Hopefully they'll consider diversifying the world in future patches.
Why is everybody saying how "awesome" this news is. This is still so far away from becoming a fun game.
Breaking News: "Ahara Discovers Differing Opinions, Whole World Collapses" In related news, "Mommy Was Wrong About Centre of Universe"
A bit of random events, diplomacy and improved AI is not going to make me play this.
Fair enough, what would make you play it then?
1. Random events
Yes!
3. More diplomatic back and forth
Yes! Yes!
4. AI, AI, AI.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Damn it, now I'm going to be antsy until 1.3... I really should consider just tossing Elemental into a time-locked vault.
Glad to hear that there are still plans for Sins of a Solar Empire. Also, WOOT, Elemental: Fallen Enchantress!
It's also kinda skewed because it sounds like Brad expected most people to have bought those games (maybe it's what he bought?)
The list he provided was just an example.
