It is unfortunate that Torchlight isn't coming to Impulse, but for anyone considering the game, it is available for $15 at Direct2Drive. The deal is not region-locked and ends Sunday. To get the $5 discount on Torchlight, use the coupon code 5OFFTORCH at checkout.

If I attempt to start a private chat with non-friends, RtP crashes. To recreate the bug, simply: 1) Select a game and search for recommended friends 2) Right-click one of these recommended friends and click "Private chat" 3) RtP crashes! If we aren't supposed to PM non-friends, either disable this option for users not on our friends list, or allow us to PM them anyway.

RtP is pushing my CPU to nearly 50% when the program is idle. This problem started with the latest update, and is unacceptable. I cannot run RtP until this performance issue is resolved.

A great addition to RtP would be a "looking for clan" preference. Players could check a box indicating that they are searching for a clan for a particular game, and then clans would create profiles that match their core values. These clans could then search for players who are similar to their preferred player types, and contact those who have indicated that they are looking for a clan. This feature would instantly add appeal to RtP. Spam could be avoided by limiting "looking for clan
When R2P installes, it does get set to start on launch, in the previous release it would not change even if the option was unchecked on the configuration screen. That was fixed, so if you uncheck it now it should be removed from the list of startup programs. Let me know if that works or not. Belxanthian
Well, it appears that when updated, it reverts to launching on start, even if the box appears

New feature as well, see above. Zargon
I was getting a crash on launch after this update. Windows gave me the "ReadytoPlay has stopped working" box and I was unable to launch.
It installs Spynet onto your computer which sends information to Microsoft about file behavior, including any software Security Essentials it suspects is pirated (which for me is no big thing). It also warns users that personal data might be "accidentally" sent to Microsoft (which is a big thing). I don't know what sort of data Spynet gives Microsoft but without an opt out choice I can't see myself installing it. There are better less in

While I also like the concept of GFWL, it is not very popular. Threads at Amazon, Steam, and popular gaming sites are filled with anti-GFWL sentiment. One criticism of GFWL that I find valid is the new account locking that Microsoft has implemented. GFWL is now a DRM platform of sorts, as it locks CD keys to user accounts, which in effect is a source of "double DRM" (assuming that some other sort of DRM is present, such as Steamworks, see Dawn of War II), and major no-no in pro-consum

We have regression on the problem introduced in Reply #6. Same error, although this time I didn't need to uninstall RtP before updating (it found the update, installed it, but now I cannot log in regardless of what boxes I check at the login screen). However, if I uninstall RtP and then reinstall it, I am able to log in. So, to summarize: Updating to today's build from the latest build resulted in "Error: [empty]" when attempting to log in. Uninstalling and reinst

Bug in the latest version: Check out the bar at the bottom. It appears regardless of the size of the window, and cannot actually be moved to "scroll."

What is this? Notice the players who have no avatars or checkboxes. They can be selected by clicking on the name text, at which point they will turn white. They can then be de-selected by clicking a second time, causing the name to change back to black. Please note that some of the players that appear as plain text actually have custom avatars. Are these players using Impulse Reactor and not Ready to Play?

Wow. It's late and I'm tired, so I will be brief: the Zune HD is the best gadget I have ever used. The preceding statement is not hyperbole. It is slim, beautiful, sturdy, great-sounding, a joy to use, and simply an excellent device. Even its web browser is fantastic (I was shocked, truthfully). The new Zune software (released on the same day as the Zune HD) is great as well. It is smooth, attractive, feature-rich (the new Smart DJ feature is better than Apple's Genius because of the
Logon works if username, password and auto sign in are left unchecked.
Verified as a workaround. Also, after I logged in once with all of those boxes unchecked, I could then quit the program, check the boxes, and log in without an error. We had to monkey with the version (the BETA version should be 0.98 not 1.00) as one of the bugs. Sorry for the inconvenience. I have noticed that RtP is not entirely responsive or snappy. It briefly hangs when closing chat windows or the application itself, and it hangs when starting up in order to load user data. Simply put, it feels a bit slow. I'm not sure if this is a server issue or an application issue. RtP could be hanging in some cases because it is awaiting a response from the server, in which case you might want to consider asynchronous loading. I tested RtP again this morning and it feels much fas
